I haven't seen that happen there, but have seen it happen in the tunnel on One Rock Isle in Sinking Sands. Rather - unsettling. There are a couple other spots that have graphics wierdnesses, as well (Nektulos and Feerrott).

There's a couple spots that this happens to me:

- In Nektulos Forest, approaching N'Marr's Ascent from the south.- In Sinking Sands, one section of the croc caves, and in another section of the zone in a different cave.

The best I can figure is that these zones are broken up into mini-areas (graphically speaking) and my video card has a problem when I reach the seam of where a couple of these areas meet. For me, the environment goes pure black but I can still see my character, other NPCs, sometimes a rock or two.. but the ground and sky and a lot of everything else is pure black.

Once I move a meter or two it snaps back into view. All I can suggest is to make sure your video drivers are up to date at all times.. maybe one of these days it'll fix itself.

Adir. I do exactly what you do. Same places you described. It goes right away so I never worried too much about it. I have whatever video card came in my computer back in 2005. Kinda cool though, there in croc caves seeing my harvest node sitting there in nothingness for a minute till I move a bit.

Update to my previous post...

I figured I'd go grab some screenshots to give a better illustration of what I was seeing; however, the glitches I was seeing in Nektulos and the Feerrott apparently decided to take the day off, and everything was working as it should. Figures! Hopefully they'll stay away for good, although it wouldn't be the first time that problem went away and then came back.

As for the glitch Atwight reported, I am still seeing a similar problem in the tunnel on One Rock Isle. It's interesting to note that, for me, this appears to be affected by the direction I'm facing. If I'm facing anywhere from North to roughly Southeast, the problem occurs. Once I turn beyond that arc, the game returns to normal.

That's the "other cave" I was referring to in Sinking Sands. Same spot too.

The area of the croc cave in SS I'm talking about is around -1027, -214, -316. There's two tradeskill rocks that spawn there. Facing anywhere from NW to SW there gives me blackness.

There's actually a whole swath of that tunnel in that area that, if I face a certain direction, it goes black.

Wonder if devs look at this forum or if its just CSR types. When I get home, I'll check and see what type of vid card is in my rig.. since I was forced to buy a bundle as an emergency replacement, I didn't memorize its specs.

I'm curious if we share a video card model. Will followup later tonight.
