how /ignore works on Forums. It would be a terrific thing to test. It's painful to go through threads, looking for constructive criticism, meaningful information and generally well written posts. It's getting to the point an igore list is almost a necessity. I'd bet plenty of people don't post because of all the ridiculous rage and ridicule any post is apt to generate.

What is the point of the boards if you are going to /ignore anybody with the opposite view of your own?

I think most people don't post more of the fact they will get modded....not for the fact there are trolls.

An ignore feature would help skipping, that's all.

Just my 2 cp.

I think it's about filtering those whose only purpose in life is to complain.

Whats so hard about looking at who posted and skipping that post if you don't wanna hear/read what they have to say? This forum is full of bugs as it is, lets have them fix the 1000 of bugs in them before adding something the end user can do if they wasn't so lazy.

I don't really see a huge need for an ignore, but what would be nice would be a way to see just the RedName posts in a given thread... some get huge (60+ pages) and being able to filter the wheat from the chaff would be nice. Especially since many times the post they're directly responding to gets quoted.
