Hello community,

I am coming back after more than 1 year, and now their are some things no longer function.

One of these are the raid abilities for example in the Fetish UI. I have downloaded the latest UI version, but you now need the Spell name and the corresponding number for it to get it running.

So where could I find it? In the logs not so far as I saw.

And as I am playing a Troub, most I wanted to know is about the Jester's Cap and the new ability that pumped mana (I am at work so I don't have the right name, I think it is one of the new SF abilities).

Has anyone these numbers or could say how I could get them?

Kind regards

ST

open spell window

activate your log /log

pull spell to chat window

hit enter

open logfile

read number behind the spell name in log file

Sounds like it would be easier to use a different UI.

Profit uses the numbers as well.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I needed to setup a raid window button for one of my abilities.

Knowing how to change a spell name and number in the xml files in the UI directory allows one to customize the UI to best work for them, and it also allows one to go in and do a quick and dirty patch in the unlikely event that a UI update breaks something.

Knowing this rather simple process improves your ability to tailor your UI to best fit your playstyle which in turn noticeably will increase your efficiency in game.

Yeah but in Profit if you use the autoupdater you then have to exclude the the file and you miss out on any updates that come along or you have to keep editing it. Jesters is already defined and if you use Energizing Ballad that much out of group something is wrong. The only people who ever really need it are your healers and with the recast you might use it twice per fight. To me it's simply not saving me enough time to set up a quick buttone as oppsed to just picking and clicking.

Currently profit (for dirge) has both rezzez, the healing spell, Gravitas and a call for hearts/shards. I want to set the last one from the hearts/shards to the AA that increases health/power regen if the character has rez sickness on them.

Hold shift and click the ability, while it's on the chat bar, select the whole spell name including the brackets around it (ex: [dirge aa ability], ctrl c to copy it, then past it into a word pad. Ingame links and spells come out in the text editors as: aABILITY 3601331586 Confront Fear:Confront Fear/a

As for preventing one click built into a window needing update, just make a macro like:

/target_group_member 0/useability 3601331586/target_previous

There is a way to consolidate it into a /useability on group member # but I'm not sure how to phrase it to make it work. I typically just use my Jcap macro as the target 1-6 followed by the use command, then myself press tab to get back onto the target.
