Once you are a member our forums are lively and ACTIVE! Tips, guides and general fun topics abound.

Things you may want to know...

Q: Who the heck are you guys???

A: Founded in 2002, and existing in two prior games , the Blackhawks have made their permanent home in EverQuest 2 since Dec of 2005. We are made up of members old and new - veteran hawks and many new friends. We have a wide range of levels and professions.

Q: What are the core values of the team?

A: We exist for the purpose of improving the gameplay experience of others, both in and out of guild. A hawk is someone who will charge across a dangerous zone to rescue you, offer some advice when asked, or maybe lend a hand if they pass by you and you are struggling with a particularly tough battle....

Q: Hmm sounds good, - but are you trying to be like those other, stuffy guilds, who only take specific people? Is there a level or profession requirement?

A: We strongly believe that there are quality people of all professions, city factions, races and playstyles. We don't presume to tell anyone they are unwelcome because of their avatar choices. So Qeynosians. Freeporters and those who have flipped sides are all welcome here. Level 1's are just as welcome as those in their 90th season. To be a Blackhawk is to transcend your faction for the greater good of the team, and of those adventurers who you happen to meet along the way.

Q: Does this mean that you are a "zerg" guild? Sending out random invites, spamming channels and accepting absolutely anyone who asks?

A: No, none of the above. Our invitation/application process is simple, and involves some screening. Every single member we have is screened first via an interview process. We never spam channels and we dont send blind invites - we want people who want to play the game our way, in a helpful manner with a focus on HAVING FUN! To join is a two step process - first - visit our FAQ at Blackhawksguild.com, then seek out an officer in game for a quick interview!

Q: Well what about raiding? I want to do raids - are you guys and active raid team?

A: We do raid and are currently in the process of dramatically expanding our raid capabilities. While we will never ever be a hardcore "raid only" team, we are raiding on a fairly regular basis these days. We are particularly interested in people experienced in these raids.

Q: Well, I'm a roleplayer - what if I don't want to group with people from the other side - will I be forced to?

A: we welcome everyone roleplayer and non rp'er alike. From the casual gamer to the power player - everyone is welcome. Guild chat is a mix of a very few RPers and 99.9999% ooc and makes for an interesting mix. No one is forced to participate in anything. All we ask is that you treat all players, in guild and out, friends and foes, with honor and respect. Q: Well , how big is the team? When are you guys on? Are you ACTIVE?

A: Since founding the EQ2 team on 12/30/05 we have attained the NINETIETH level as a guild and currently hold membership of 3298 CHARACTERS as of 6/22/10 members on 1521 accounts- most of that number is represented by ACTIVE players , not alts (though alts are certainly welcome). There are always ‘hawks online 24/7 though our busiest times seem to be when it is after 5pm EST and of course weekends. We are currently THE largest guild on the server. (not that that matters - but its a good frame of reference as to how well our message of helping others is reaching the server). We are also the 4th 3rd 2nd largest guild in the entire game. What does that mean? Size of the guild isnt a primary goal of ours - things sort of developed that way - but being this large means that virtually any time night or day that you log in - chances are there will be someone at or near your level to play with you! At peak times we average between 35-65 members online.

Q: I have a LOT of other questions...

A: Go to Blackhawksguild.com - check out the site - read our FAQ, Charter and History pages... this team may be the one you have long sought.

Q: The website rocks - but what about one on one conversation?

A: Seek out : Kaalenarc,, , Grogan, Gygax, Arimos, , Barock, Barrock, Spare, Barrack, Lileaf, , Golan, , Analo, Barbarann, , , Evillynn, Rustynutzz, Llewelun Chumley, Muxdy , Mukdsy , Munders, Oseh and a few others I am sure I missed. To find our officers hit your U key - we are usually the first or second guild listed in the recruiting tool.

We will be happy to spend some time with you. And if you ultimately decide we are not for you, we will still help you. If you are in game, and need a hand - just type/who all blackhawks and we will try and get someone out to assist!

The Blackhawks are , as always welcoming members of all classes and levels. however - of late we have been being asked which classes we need most for raids.

Our current needs are Chain healers, chanters and a plate OT or two. We currently raid Fridays and sundays from 830 to 1130 EST and are working our way through SF zones. If interested, read through our faq at blackhawksguild.com and send one of our officers or myself a tell or email in game.

Mugari Here, I was recently asked to describe why I loved my guild. The answer is simple. I don't love my guild. Funny I should answer that way to passerby that doesn't know anything about the Hawks. But if you ask anyone in the Hawks, we are more then a guild. We are Family!!. This being the case, just like real life, I love my family in game. The people are always there to help, group with, or just chat. Not many guilds can pick you up when you are worried about an earthquake, you house was wrecked by a tornado, or you are ill. In the Hawks, Everquest 2 is not just a game, it is a forum for the family to use. We cry, laugh, play, and learn as a team. That is what a family is for. In this context I could care less about a guild tag, guild banner or guild in general. What I love the most about the Hawks, is being proud to call them my family.
I joined Blackhawks in July of 2009. Some would say joining Blackhawks is intimidating as it is, and has been for some time, the guild with the most members in all of Everquest 2. I find that being a member has had a great deal of benefits. a.) Due to Blackhawks having a wide array of members of different classes, I find that I have many more resources for information regarding if I want to play those particular classes as well as easily obtaining assistance with quests given the scope of game experience. I no longer have to rely on fan-sites such as EQ2Wire or EQ2 Wikia. b.) I originally came from a PVP server, Venekor ( merged with Nagafen ) and can honestly say I have a much greater respect for the PVE viewpoint of players in Blackhawks who utilize the BGs and the growing disparity in PVP gear made available to both PVP and PVE servers. Thus the reason why I don't enjoy PVP... c.) I do get a great opportunity to not only meet and get to know people in Blackhawks from across the US, but also people from around the world, learning about regions I more than likely won't have an opportunity to visit in my lifetime. d.) I have a chance to learn about decorating a nice home (currently in Halas), learn more about quests that directly contribute to not only improving my tradeskills, but also learn more about lore I may never have had the opportunity to appreciate, were it not for the help of fellow guild members in Blackhawks. e.) Self reliance is key to getting ahead in Everquest 2 and Blackhawks reinforces principles (maxing harvesting, taking up tradeskills, etc.) by rewarding hard work and contributing to a collaborative environment. Lastly, Blackhawks is about enjoyment and having fun and making a priority of respecting one another through honesty and thoughtful assistance. Everyone is free to contribute their thoughts and it is respected in turn, will due diligence and consideration. Hilt

I came to the Blackhawks on the recommendation of two good friends and have not been let down since. I have gotten to know them better and have made many new comrades. Any time I need a hand there is always another hawk willing to assist. Lets not forget the lively banter of guildes who always seem to just make the day a lil better.

Why do I enjoy the Blackhawks, seems like such an easy question to answer doesn't it. I grew up in original EQ, it was my first gaming experience and the guild that I belonged to was one that the friendships I made there are still carried on to this day, even though I have not met many of them in Real Life. The Blackhawks have that same feeling for me, I see it every time I log in the real freindships that developed within this group of people, to me that is one of the most important and cherished results of this game. The first Blackhawk I ever met was Bethelanna in the Wailing Caves, her and another Blackhawk invited me into a group , they did not care how ill equipped or lack of upgrades that I had, that night was one of the best times I had in this game. After we were done that night I knew I wanted to see more of this guild.Since joining the Hawks , I have not been able to attend many events because of level, but I have NEVER been pressured to level faster, for that I thank you so very much. That is another great thing about the Blackhawks , no pressures, no pressures to raid, to group, to do anything other than what you wish to do. The generosity of the guild members, is another reminder of a era that seems to have slowly drifted away. I have seen guildmembers log on and offer to make any one who needed them spells, armor, bags, food. I have watched guildmembers come to the rescue of another, and I have watched the guild breath a sigh of relief when our Austrailian counterparts have logged in to say they were ok. The Blackhawks are great for alot of reasons , but the reasons that stick out most to me is that the Blackhawks as a guild extend out from the computers we sit behind and reach into the lives and hearts of us all.Rhaynes En'Blood

Inquistor of Innoruuk

i think blackhawks is the best(non exagerating) guild in everquest! it took me four years to find this guild. Before blackhawks i was a wandering nomad hopping guild to guild never really finding a place i can call home. Ive made it my personal buisness to know almost every single officer and alot of members. Now it makes up more then half of my friendlist. Dispite me leaving the guild in the past temporarly i still decided to come back to stay in touch with my pals and wanted to share this expirence with my brother. On my small break from blackhawks i felt bare and naked with a empty friendlist like an exile. after my trip away it was a no brainer to find my way back with kaal and the crew. blackhawks made a real popular guild hated by many only because there envious. high population doesnt make this guild so great its the member quality and services available i learned to tradeskill here and attained my first ever mythical /cheer with the aid of the officers of hawks i also find the forums a good place to waste time during server downtime. My play styles go well with blackhawks guild i am a go-getter always forming groups and with such a nice roster of adventurers we fill groups real fast i also love the fact that during double exp days we do hawk only grindfests allowing me to make new friends for future groups ive seen many hawks come and go but most of the ones i developed friendships with remained here i love the guild hall and finally upgraded my ram to see it in its pure glory i have no intentions of leaving the guild ever this place rocks. As a person coming from high verbal abusive/scammer style gameplay of most online games out ther i feel blackhawks helped reform my attitude in a positive way or maybe im actualy growing up (LOL)

thanks for taking me back kaal n pals it means more to me then you know that is the biggest reason i can possibly think of that makes the blackhawks so special is forgiveness and friendship thats a real prime

im proud to be under the blackhawks wing and hopefully someday become a peice ofreason why other people think the blackhawks are so special

                                                                                             Fwank N'Stien

The blackhawks are once again recruiting for membership. We are a fun, friendly team dedicated to helping our members and advancing throughout all levels of content in the game. We tend to take our time, and enjoy the ride - we are not a hardcore raiding guild though we do enjoy raiding a couple times a week. If youre looking for a guild you can be with long term, make friendships that last for years, and have a team you can truly call "family" - then we are the place for you.
