This may be a noob question. If so blast away. But is there something I am missing in trying to spot and track members of my actual group?

I have no icons on my map indicating group members.

Every member of the raid is highlighted or has an arrow there is nothing to designate which are your team members.

I would like to see and easy way of determining where members of my group are at.

Show group member icons on the map.

Have group member names visible from anywhere in the zone.

Something that allows to to more easily reform your group after a respawn.

I would like a setting under user interface/target ring/Battlegrounds that was a GROUP setting. Team setting does not help the issue at all as for me it highlights every member of my raid, not of my group.

If this already exists in settings then please inform me how to set it. I currently just try to keep the healer targeted and spend a lot of time trying to catch up or keep close the them. Other group members .... not so much.

This is not a noob question, it is really not easy to find the own group after a respawn.

There could be a easy solution like marking group and raid members different at the map or/and allow the group leader to choose a spawn location for the whole group.

IMO, it should be different tints of your teams color such as dark/light blue and dark/light red for respective teams and that could even be extended to on servers since raid members are not visible in-game. Make your primary group a dark tint of that color, and your raid members a light tint of that color. (That however would add more lag to the game keeping track of where everyone in the raid is.)

Even making the group member dots the same icon as the ones on the raid window and tinting them would dramatically improve the experience and can't be that much harder than it putting your dot on the window and keeping track of the player's location seeing as it would be 1/4 possible icons so worst case scenario it's sending an extra few bits to tag the class type.

I would think it would be easy to add the map icons for group members to the map at least.

And what if your view of highlights, target rings and arrows were blue or red (depending on team) for yourself and all raid members except for group members, group member highlights, target rings and arrows would be gold? Nothing else would change, just the other five members of your group would be gold.

This would be distinct and should not add any appreciable overhead.
