<p>I recently betrayed my quester assassin over to ranger and started to look at the boards both here and at flames for tips on becoming a better player.  I was a bit stunned over all the negitive threads on how terrible the class is.  I am hoping to get some clairification on exactly how this effects casual questers like myself.</p><p>Is the problems we have as a class an issue for soloers/questers or mainly for raiders?</p><p>Can I still expect to do respectible dps in groups if I put the effort into learning the class and gear?</p><p>Thank you for any insight into this.</p>

<p>If you like to solo, the Ranger is still very fun in places with lower mob populations and open areas.</p><p>The problem rests almost entirely in the upper end raiding/groups and not in the solo. </p><p>If you want to raid or be sought after by groups for upper end zones or get into raiding guilds then you should consider a different class than a ranger or any predator for that matter.</p>
