In the "Legend of the Geargobbler" quest, upon encountering the "stealthy clockwork" in Gnomeland Security, he just says "Engage stealth mode" and stays there. The quest journal says he disappeared and dropped something, but he never disappears.

Will post more as I run additional quests, so far have only done Great Balls of Fire.

1. Respawn rate for the erratic clockworks seems fine. I was able to get 5 in a row (having the detonator hotkeyed), spin around and the first ones would be respawning.

2. My only concern with the clockworks is that the lower level people running this quest would probably be encountering several aggros. I'm running it with a level 79 so no idea how it is for lower levels, just a thought.

3. The cloak reward is pretty awesome in looks and with the bonus to Tinkering!

4. The title reward is pretty awesome, too! This time around I think the 25 repetitions to get it is just fine since the quest can be completed in 30 seconds to 2 minutes (though it might take a bit longer on Live) each repetition.

Merchant:

1. I really like the new items, was just saying yesterday how I wished there were floor tiles!

2. Any chance that there's time to add a new master tinkerer's blueprint for people at 450 skill?

Cogs/Shinies:

1. I passed through Kelethin on my way in, cogs and purple shinies seemed plentiful for the few minutes I spent picking them up.

2. Just swung by New Halas to see where the portal was. There are cogs on the same platform as the portal but no where else throughout the entire city. There are no purple shinies at all throughout the entire city (including none around the portal).

Off topic: I agree with the comments on the Bauble of Holiday Spirit, the particle effects are -very- hard to see, I was leaning forward and squinting at my monitor just to see what each was.

My feedback thus far ..

Quests that have to be repeated ad nausm are nauseating! Please stop making them! If you want to give us the rewards, give us the rewards! Don't make us do something till our eyes bleed to get to some magic number for a reward! Especially for Live Events. Previous person mentioned 25 runs?! For a event that's what a week or 2 weeks long? *sigh*

Otherwise, so far ..

Can you move the Tinkerfest Merchant to a more prominent location? She's hidden behind all drunken gnomes.

The Language Seller? Just a suggestion but can he be changed to a Gnome and be given a Permanent Place in the Gnomeland Security?

In specific to the Great Balls of Fire quest. Can you change this some how to be more pleasant for someone under lvl 30? Yes, there are TONS of little clockworks and there isn't a problem with the people on Test but when it hits Live, especially after they figure out you have to spam the quest to get the real reward, the higher lvls will practically camp the clockworks in the immediate area. Why the heck would they want to run over to the Druid ring or Klakanon when they can stay practically next to the Quest Giver and spam the hotkey. I figure about 4-6 players can be supported without blood shed in the immediate area. Which would be fine if it was a do it once quest and that's all but since it has to be repeated ...

Why not pick out like 6 (safe-ish) locations in Steamfont and place more Fireworks Cooridinators to give the same quest out? Too late at this point to make a coordinating quest line out of it but at least if the Cooridinators were spread out the player base could be too.

Just have Mad Mattie mention that her fellow Coordinators are needing help with the problem she created & maybe an offer to port to them or just directions.

And, can we get at least get (2) tokens for the repeatables?

For Master Tinker 2.0 book suggestions .. (what I wanted last year) can we get a Plushie Clockwork for our house? I like that clockwork that is sitting down by the goats .. just saying ... o.O.

I'm working on The Legend of the Geargobbler now, but I'm stuck on returning to Steamfont with the Administrative access key. I can see the stealthy clockwork saying his proximity alert message, but I can't actually -see- the clockwork to use the key. = Am I doing something wrong?

edit: Tried logging out and back in but it's still not there. Character is Trimia on Test Copy if you want to borrow me to check it out.

edit: Ugh, figured it out. I should've been looking for "a hidden clockwork". So basically, still seeing the message from the stealthy clockwork is very misleading on this step.

I think what is happening to Geargobbler quest (maybe) is if you get near the little robot where the sneaky geargobbler appears you get an update message to find Nell, I think this may be what is messing up that quest. Will have to try to avoid that area and see if that's it.

I got killed 3 times trying to get to Klak'Anon. Could an overly alert robot be reassigned? I could never tell where he was coming from.

I agree that moving the Tinkerfest merchnat to a less crowded location would be helpful.

Pops in Kelethin were good. New Halas was good, too, and you can find some between that platform and the docks; found plenty last night.

So far having fun, despite the glitches.

I must say the repeat quests are getting a bit stale. Personally, I would rather have a quest that says go kill 1000 ofthese or harvest 1000 of those and be done with it. The running back and forth and keeping track is a bit tiresome at this point. We truly have a ton of content in this game and repetition doesnt really add to the challenge. I can appreciate the timesink so just increase what it takes to get the quest done or make the quests escalate if there are multiple rewards. This would lend flexibility to add to a questline each year rather than try to come up with new repeatable ones.

Like the new items to be crafted

Quest text seems pretty clear and precise, no issues with those

Respawn rates seem fine on the clockworks

Was a bit disappointed with only 2 things:

No new shiny collection but this is really minor

No new master tinker 2.0. With the cap raise this year I too was hoping we would see an upgrade to this. Something useful would be awesome. How about a pet that gives a power feed to caster for super speedy crafting and +Success +Progress +Tinkering. After all, you are a master tinker, this would be kinda nifty.

Those are my thoughts, the bauble was /bleh but as mentioned, not a TS thing. On a TS note though, having reward of special holiday crafting stations instead of the bauble would have been FTW imo.

Ok, I'm am sure now that what's causing the problem with the Geargobble quest is getting the initial update in the area in which the robot will later appear.
I also buggued in game the problem on the geargobble quest, first after seing a journal bug and then after repeating the bug by going near the stealthy clockwork and updating the quest before going to Nell which bugs the quest.I also saw that the mobs within the instance are giving no xp and so I made my way to the NPC using invisibility. Is the lack of xp an oversight?

I HATE the repeating of Tinkerfest cheer. Could the 25 time repeat be lessened to only 10 times please ? 5 times is a pain to do already but 25 times is just too much.

I love the new house items, they're great

On the Great Ball of Fire quest, the repop of the clockworks is fine : very fast, easy quest to do, you can blast the clockworks while on the move which makes this quest pretty easy to do.

I see someone saying he had troubles reaching klack'anon, I suppose for one of last year quests. Remember you can now use the travel system (NPC just down from the Gnome HQ and I think there's a station near Klak'Anon). I would LOVE a new station near the druid ring, it's hard to reach for lowbies but it's the easiest way to reach moors for the Geargobble quest.

EDIT : after doing some testing around of shinies repop and speaking on the channel with Sileki :- Moors seems fine- Gorowyn seems fine- Some shinies disappeared in Kelethin- Some shinies disappeared in Temple Street

Perhaps some are getting stuck in geometry ?

Minor stuff, but I put in a bug report last night for a large cog structure near the Tinkerfest NPCs that doesn't have a collison set. I think Rothgar would have a lot less database issues if things where available/craftable when people might need them instead of making everybody stock up on stuff we MIGHT need (or not).
Agreed. Even if the cog cost was crazy (say 25 shiny cogs to make 1 gear), it would be nice to still be able to make extra gears outside of tinkerfest.

If you still want to keep it relatively limited, maybe you can go with a limited use & limited availability recipe? IE a quest that gives 1 recipe book that allows you to craft say 2 of each gear at 5~10 shiny cogs each.

/adds my vote to making the gears craftable

Okay - there seems to be a problem with the [Left-Handed Sonic Wrench] that Nell rewards after finishing her quest.

There are 2 different ones: One for Scouts, Bers, Guard, Monk, Bruiser (an offhand weapon), and one for the all Mages, all Priests, SK and Pal (a symbol).

The problem is: My Warden (lvl 61) just finished the quest and didn't get any wrench, only the console.

I'd assume the quest script didn't read her class correctly. I asked in Test chat and had 2 other people saying they didn't get the wrench either, so it doesn't seem to be a glitch that only hit me.

Could we please get that looked into?

Purr~

PS: Same problem with a lvl 90 Templar. No wrench, only the console as reward. Seems Priest classes are not read correctly.

I checked my logs and it appears I received the wrench fine on 4 of my 6 test toons: coercer, brigand, shadowknight and necro. But neither the warden nor the mystic received one on quest completion - they just got the console.

I cannot make 「Master Tinker's Companion Blueprints 1.0」 for my frind.

(I can make it for only myself )

Please fix it.

That's not a bug -- its a pet specifically for tinkerers. Your friend needs to level up their tinkering! Or do the collection for the same pet for their house.
