Hi folks,

I have this conundrum basically. I'm a Sarnak Shadowknight that betrayed to New Halas and became a Paladin. I wanted to keep a biography available on my character to remind me of where he's been. Thing is, I don't know much about Sarnaks or Norrathian lore.

According to http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=473942 The Gorowyn Sarnaks are either a super version of the average Sarnak or a lesser version of the average Sarnak, and while that somewhat confuses me, I'm sure someone here can clear it up, right?

Second, I was hoping to follow a deity. One would be for play and the other would be for roleplay. Thing is, I don't know much about the deities.

I was thinking Mithaniel Marr or Serilis as a play option, as they have awesome skills I can use in my gameplay or crafting, but otherwise, I was hoping there was a deity for scribes and writers and musicians I could follow.

Any ideas?

The Goworyn Sarnaks were created by the Di'Zok to be the perfect super-soldier, invulnerable to just about any type of environmental conditions. You ended up escaping from Chardok somehow and incubation tubes were found by the Haorans in Timorous Deep. You then gathered up enough of your own race to build the city of Gorowyn inside the volcano.

As far as dieties go, the Gorowynians believe in Cazic Thule as their creator, even though they know that the Di'Zok created them, who in turn were created by the Iksar, who were created by Cazic Thule.

Since you claim to have betrayed to New Halas, I would say there should be no problem if you worshiped Cazic from a roleplay perspective, because betraying to a Paladin indicates that you didn't care enough to take his worship as a major factor of your life, and the Sarnaks themselves don't hold him in any terribly high regards. An afterthought, really.

As for gameplay reasons, i would suggest Mithanial for tanking.

Well I don't know much of anything about the Sarnak, but Cusahorn seems to have enlightened us there. Thank you, Cusa. However, I do have a suggestion for roleplay deity. I agree with Mith Marr as a gameplay deity, very decent for pallies. However, you mentioned deity of scribing, writing or music...Unsure of whether she is still alive, I'd say Ayonae Ro would be a great choice for music. It shouldn't matter whether she is alive or not either, as my guild as a couple people who RP worship Erollisi. For scribing and writing...um, maybe Zeb? Not a deity anymore, but he was once God of Knowledge, lots of gaps in my knowledge about him too, including the spelling of his full name. *blush* Another one is possibly Druzzil Ro as the Goddess of Magic...That's all that really springs to mind. The Ro family seems to me to embody all the different aspects that were found in Apollo, just split up into different deities for the different aspects. If anyone can clarify more I'm sure it would help more. That's all I got! Good luck.

He has reverted back and forth from mortal to God many times in history, though it's never been made clear just what causes either one to happen each time.

You could worship the Tribunal both RP and in game. Your toon could have gone a more lawful route to become a Pally, and thusly find the ways of the Tribunal for you. just a suggestion...

Kosovos, my sarnak paladin follows the tribunal as he got tired of Freeport using them for personal gain, or so he claims. I first started playing him withotu worshippign a god, or followign a god, because he claimed none of them created him and the ywere not worthy of his devotion to them.

He doesnt' worship teh Tribunal, instead he more or so follows thier ways as he wishes for the wicked to be punished for evil they have done. He was enlightned to this when he had his time in Freeport. A city that uses Tyranny and to rule with fear. Kosovos didn't like that and beleived no one should live in fear.

That was just a breif reason why I chose Tribunal Icly.

Hmm. Nice backstory. If it weren't for the technicality that Goworyn is an evil city, your ideals would fit right in with the other Sarnaks there.
