Okay, H&L folks, I need some assistance discovering some of the lore that helps to explain what's going on in the red servers!

We have Priests of Discord soliciting mass slaughter and encouraging newbies to embark on a career in stabbiness for rewards. We have mysterious towers with strange guardians that we are called out to either defend or attack, always with mass murder being the consistent result. Death, chaos, conquest, and escalation are encouraged by Discord's agents while Overlord Lucan is absent from Freeport. Who are these Priests of Discord that benefit from this unrelenting war? Why are they so generous in rewarding increased conflict? What do they ultimately want?

My personal suspicion is that these Priests of Discord might actually be servants of Nagafen's children, and those young prismatics are somehow benefiting from the loci of energy and death focused on the towers in the Warfields.

I know that there is conspiracy afoot - and I need a bunch of meddling loremeisters to help me expose their plot before those Priests of Discord can get away with it (Scoobie-snacks not provided)!

Lucan D'Lere in an undisclosed location, broadcasting a warning on Tinmizer's Magnificent Messenger

the priests of discord were sent to red servers by the gods because they wanted to lag and crash nagafen as much as they could to prevent the farming of their loot.

IDK if thats correct but it happens everyday!

Priests of Discord represent dieties from beyond Norrath that believe conflict and victory lead to enlightnment. Only through the cruicible of war can the dross be discarded and the victors will march onward to eternal glory. Yada yada, yada yada. Yada.

Hopefully the Realm of Discord doesn't open up to Nagafen and consume the entire server in its blood stained glory...or maybe the players would like that?

As for the towers, do you have any idea how much the Priest of Discord make from off-zone betting? They made 1.2 million plat from the gambling dens in Maj'dul alone! They bet on anything!

I wonder if they will be found in the near future shaking down the Gigglegibber Gamblin' Goblins for a piece of their action?

Hopefully it doesn't degenerate to the point where the drive-by Riftings start.
