I know free to play games that are less buggy then EQ2 is at this time.

1: Laggy (1-2 second between anything you do in New Halas)

2: Game crashes to character selection screen every 3-4 minutes until you restart you comp. (this started after the last maint)

3: Game just stops responding and freezes (so far its random no set time frames and no way to fix it)

4: Lost one of my available character slots (deleted 2 toons created a new one and went to create the other one and it wont let me)

5: Gets to character select you select toon and entering world comes up then the game crashes (this took restarting the computer, doing a FULL scan to fix the 2 times it has happened) started soon after New Halas update.

These are the main ones but I am spending more time logging in, restarting my machine, trying to fix the problem then I am playing anymore. Then when i do get to play I have to fight lag and stuff as well.

I had NO PROBLEMS with any of the above UNTIL the New Halas patch that is when everything went to hell for a better word. I am not paying SOE another dime until they get their act together and fix these glaring problems. I feel like I am playing a brand NEW game then one that has been out for 5+ years.

Sounds like your problems are, well, your problems. If they were as glaring as you say, then there would be hundreds if not thousands of posts complaining about them. Anecdotal problems do not widespread systemic errors make.

Your post really serves no purpose other than elicit some sympathy or maybe try to stir the pot. If you were interested in playing you would work with Sony's support team to figure out why your computer and your installation of the game is behaving so poorly. There's a reason for it somewhere, and it's not something Sony can magically "fix" without you working with them.

Otherwise, enjoy the outside world.

Probably would do better posting this somewhere outside the Priest forums, just sayin.

I didn't notice any lag in New Halas playing a new toon all the way through the questlines. Not saying it's your imagination or anything, your NH must have been much more densely populated than mine, I guess.

Do you have Shader 3.0 enabled? I haven't crashed on Live servers in ages but I know people that, for example, crash when they enter a room/GH with Ice Rime chairs in it when Shader 3.0 is enabled.

The character thing sounds like a /petition is in order, no?

I turned off shaders 3.0 and I have no lag/crash issues. I run at full graphics up at 1920x1200.

If I turn on shaders I last maybe 20 minutes, and if I go inside anything it is hosed.

I do get lag in Halas but I'm assuming that its because about 99% of the population on any of the servers is playing Halas right now. You'll just have to get used to it until peoples interest starts to slide lower.

2. Never had that. Don't know anyone who has.

3. Never had that. Don't know anyone who has.

4. The only person you have to blame for that is yourself. Go talk to SOE if you get a glitch.

5. Never had that.
