Extremely long time getting in game

<p>Has anybody seen this issue.    I have the streaming client.   Hit the launcher, log in to game,  wait about 30 seconds to a minute and then the patcher comes up.   I can then hit play, wait another 30 seconds to a minute for the box to go away, then nothing.    Now, I can gettup and walk away from the computer, in about 5 to 10 minutes(Not an over estimate) the game will finally pop up with the character select.   After that the game runs fine perfictly fine...</p><p>windows xp. nvidia gtx 280, latest driver and directx, 4G ram,.....</p>

<p>Thanks for the reply.  I disabled the Anti-virus and firewall and added the ports to forward on the router.....  No change....</p><p>It is a netgear router.  </p>

<p>Sometimes disabling the AV/firewall will not help...  it may still try to protect you.  Is there any new updates for the router?</p><p>Other then that, I would suggest posting a tracert for the Techies to see when they come in <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>Just FYI:  There are a number of us over in the connections forum who have been reporting the same issue since the New Halas patch, so far we haven't heard anything back at all.  It only seems to be happening with the streaming client, from what I can see in the posts.</p><p>I usually just start up the launcher, walk away from the computer and come back in 20 minutes or so, and I've finally finished loading up.  The problem is if I get in unusually fast, I time out before I get back, and have to do it again.  It's really frustrating, I have been hoping it would get resolved but it looks like Im just going to have to bite the bullet and download the entire thing via the launcher and switch away from the streaming client.</p>

<p>I have to agree.   It only happens with the steaming client.  Sometimes it works fine, but I usually walk away or surf then net till I does.</p><p>I tried uninstalling anti-virus, disableding microsoft firewall service.  No change.  No update for the router.</p>

<p>Just an fyi to anyone having this problem.  </p><p>I switched from the streaming clienth to the station client.   Haven't had an issue anymore.   So it defently seems to be the streaming client.</p>
