The 4th Annual Festival of Unity is a player-created and player hosted series of immersive roleplay social events and contests. Held at multiple locations within the Antonica zone of the Antonia Bayle Server, SoE community relations often supports the endeavor by setting up daily festival sites not seen other times of the year. Its a spectacle to behold. Players gather their characters and either browse the boothes, socialize or take the bull by the horns and enter a contest for the honor of their guilds. Most of the contests occur both within the game zone itself; as well as within custom event channels. This is done to sort out the overlapping conversations/walls of text experienced with so many characters chatting in one place. The primary channel to maintain is: /join Festival for general announcements and directions to event sites throughout the week.

The first day was so incredibly awesome and fun! I'm definitely glad that I logged on for it. There were Lucanic and Antonian illusions going about, giving us gorgeous eyecandy mixed with ruinous undead disappointment. There was tons and tons and tons of Cake.. Fireworks, Cookies! Pillow fights and snowballs. And best of all - Marshmallow surprises!

...I suppose the events were pretty good too. *grin*

Thank you guys in advance for running it! All your hard work is appreciated.

The undead thing was a trifle startling and unfortunate!

Everything is going fantastically. Thanks to all who are coming out and making this a spectacular event! Once again the dev gnomes have out done themselves in helping us make this even better than previous years. Here's to a wonderful festival and many more!

Are those of evil alignment permitted?

Particpants claim that those of evil alignment are allowed as long as they don't intend confrontational RP.

However, last year I was given information that someone of evil alignment is only allowed if they pretend to be good (i.e. a coercer would only be allowed if she were pretending to being a sorcerer or conjuror with a PE pet, not charm).

Those of evil alignment are asked to wear a disguise/use another name if they are well-known, to keep objectionable pets put away (i.e. no undead knights wandering around), and to keep their muttering about their inclinations low. Otherwise, come and play with us!

Also - TIME CHANGE TONIGHT - Battle of the Bards will begin at 9:30 eastern tonight.
