It's taking like 2 minutes to go from character select to enter game. Tried this on both Mistmoore and Unrest servers. Same thing.

The downtime said @ an hour... perhaps it is not completely all the way up yet? *shrugs*

I can't login at all. I get a message saying:

"Network Timeout - Network error. Server is not responding. Please test your connection and try again."

Now, obviously I can go online - since I'm in the forum - and I have no problems either browsing or using my Mail account. Only logging into EQ2 isn't working.

I don't even get as far as the patcher window.

I checked my AV and firewall exceptions. EQ2's launchpad and voice system are both exceptions still. I get the feeling this has nothing to do with either.

It is still telling me that the server is not responding.

If the patch that occurred today changed anything with the launcher, then the AV or firewall will no longer recognize the launcher and will try to block it. This is why if you have exceptions for eq2 listed, you would need to completely remove them and then add them again...

Cycle of the modem is just that... Might need a tweak to get it going to accept the ports for Eq2... as for the reasons, I am not sure, it is just what I have seen the TSR's suggest. It is Quick and easy and if it happens to solve the issue, then you get in faster then waiting for them.

Restarted my computer, restarted the router, restarted the DSL modem. Rechecked everything - settings were still like I'd left them, last time - now it's starting to load... albeit slowly...

@ Shareana

Thanks for moving the thread over here.

That makes sense.

I would think the people who implement the updates would have enough courtesy to add that in the update notes if it were going to change things enough to have to do this.

Just keep in mind the exceptions will need to be removed and then re added if you had to have them in the first place

I cycled my modem and router. I removed then re-applied the exceptions. I restarted my computer. None of these have affected the message about the server not responding.

OKie dokie...

I just tried to log in on my other account and am having trouble getting Past the authentication screen. I am currently also in game with my main account...

So something is definitely wonky still

That is good because I have no idea how to look up AVG free exceptions.

Lol... I was just able to sign in with my second account. I would keep trying if you came up with the network error...and have done as I previously suggested

I am getting the network error also.

1 - I do NOT use a router.

2 - I logged in after the patch today.

3 - I accidentally camped toon to toon with no problem.

4 - I accidentally camped to desktop and that is when my problem started at 09:45 AM PDT.

5 - I was able to log in here.

There was a patch today at 7 am PDT. So some people seem to be having issues logging in after that.

I was able to log in on my main account immediately. My second account had some troubles, but is now able to get in easily enough.

Does this forum not allow edits? because that option is not available for my previous post.

I wanted to change 09:45 AM PDT to 08:45 AM PDT.

and

remove the word accidentally from the camp from toon to toon.

Today seems to be one of those days where things are full of wonkiness including the forums Many people are labeled as General Ranking and that rank does have restrictions

It should be working soon enough hopefully
