lower level BG gear

<p>After playing my 42 Berserker on BG's a few times I decied to check into the Fabled BG armor that is for sale.  I'm cornfused. The stuff appears to be a downgrade from MC in most respects.  While I would gain some modest Blue stats, my main stat (STR & STA) would be cut nearly in half.</p>

<p>I've also noticed that I have yet to get a smugglers den pop. Gears mostly, and some times ganak. This means I couldn't get all the gear even if I wanted to.</p><p>EDIT: How about being able to trade in gears for smugglers token? Say a 3:1 ratio?</p>

<p>There are way too many Rums required given how infrequently you can get a Smuggler's run going (and then add in how long it takes to complete). For instance the L80 jewerly, nearly all of it requires rums. Ugh.</p>

<p>Yeah, I agree with the Gears for Rum idea, it's just not possible to get the 24 man BG's with any certainty. If you Queue up specifically for the 24, you will probably not be doing a BG for a long, long time.</p><p>As to the OP question, I'm curious too..</p><p>The Blue stats on it are nice, and there's a very small increase in mitigation, but compared to the Mastercrafted at the same level, the Attributes on it are poop. Is a couple points of Toughness *that* big a factor in BG? (I'm asking, this is not rhetorical).</p><p>I'd really like to hear some thoughts on if the low level BG armor is actually worth it. I'd lose a LOT of STR if my Bruiser switched over, is the survivability of the added Toughness and a few other stats worth the loss?</p>

<p>you get a boost on resists too</p><p>I use a hybrid of gear for Sarr (my inq) ..  I have one set of bg/mc/fabled then a macro that puts me into reactive fabled gear - it has poor stats, but the reactive fears/stuns/stifles are funny as heck =P</p><p>The jewelry was totally worth it.. the gear though.. i just bought the shoulders, and i think legs? I dont remember.. not much though</p>
