By no means am I a power player or pro but I figured today I would give the new bgs a try.

I played gears about 5x each on my Shadowknight at t6 and Coercer at t4. My chars are nothing special the Sk is 59 with MC, all expert abilities and 104 aa. Coercer weaker at lvl 32 with MC, expert, and 40 aa. Im not counting the 4 group gears bug that was interesting.

Out of 10 matches not one was close it was completely one sided either in my favor or against.

T6 was typically too many tanks surrounding 1 or 2 healers in the center. The healers being unkillable as every tank has at least 3 taunts (myself included).

T4 was broken. Possibly because my Coercer is weak but he couldn't dent anyone. I tossed mana, mez, and silence on healers as much as possible but I would last aprox 8-10 seconds against anyone. Wizard, Inquisitor, Bruiser, etc...In one match 3 charaters were beating on a wizard and literally his health never dropped. As we are both cloth I was amazed as even with MC gear I get clobbered in 10 seconds by 1 person.

And there was 1 match that everyone just stood in the spawn area.

I believe 3 problems exist.

1. In lower level tiers AA and Gear make too much of a difference.

2. Healing needs balancing

3. Facing PUG's against prefabricated groups.

Solutions

1. Im crazy and should never go back

2. Queue prefab groups against prefab groups and pugs against pugs

3. Revisit t4 balance.

I believe the term is "Flame on"

-Mal

"I aim to misbehave"

Today was my first day in BG's as well,

I'm a 39 Bruiser with 80 aa's, and I have a 39 Ranger buddy with the same. Mix of Master Crafted gear and Fabled where it seemed like a better idea.

We did about a dozen of them as well, mostly gears, but we did do one capture the flag, and I have to say....

We had a total blast. It was awesome, and I can't wait to have time to go back.

Out of 12, 2 were lopsided. 1 was only lopsided because our group filled very slowly, and the other? Well, we just got our [Removed for Content] handed to us fair and square.

Already met some great people in there, whether on my team or the opposing, I'm remembering names and who is impressive.

THANK YOU SoE for the lower level BG's. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

What kind of discouraged me was the low population in the 60s. Took 30 minutes for a Klak, and we had a full guild group in the queue. So we bumped up to 70s, and the only BGs available were Klak again.

The armor looks nice, but with the low population in the 60s & 70s it will really be hard to gather the Ganak & Smugglers tokens needed to gain a full set.

In contrast I am sure people can just farm the 80s-90s (I did ganak a few times to get my 72nd Zerker a 1st piece.. Disco!). However, I see this as a waste of time and energy for the SoE Devs that took so long developing BG Armor for the lower tiers.

Not sure how the population is in the 30s-50s, but I hope this BG picks up faster or it is back to tier9 BGs only.

Yes yesterday there was a lot of discussion about level locking in the 30s in all channels I was in on Naggy so I think there will be a lot of action in the 30s Battlegrounds soon.

Nothing new was added, except changing names of items. So now i can wear 2 items with exactly the same stats and proc.

I've been "training" my lvl 68 locked SK for these new low tiers BG, and is pretty much as good geared as it gets. So i'm kinda dissapointed to see that there is absolutely NO new items to get for a pvp player which are an upgrade. This lvl 60 armor with toughness is not remotely an upgrade to the existing lvl 65 pvp gear. pvp gear has more mitigation + decent set bonus, BG armor simply compensates the lack of mitigation with adding a little toughness.

The Problem with waiting long for a BG match at lvls 30 - 79 can't really be fixed by SoE. For many PVE players there's just no incentive to keep a toon locked at a lower lvl, especially since you can just self mentor and go do content much easier then doing it at the actual level. On pvp server it can be fun to level lock, as fights are usually much longer then at T9, and leave more room for creativity / traps / tactic etc. and you can not engage into pvp fights while mentored.
