So I have a guild that is tiny (level 24) that I joined that was created by some friends (all whom are now playing other MMO that shall not be named), so now I'm the guild leader and really its just me, my alts at this point and I have a lot of time and effort put into it.

Does EQ2 have a concept of a guild merge so I can save/move all my status etc to another guild?

Any other options here?

hm, that is extra storage for you

i took over one of older guild that was created in late 2004 as eq2 just released, most were leaving when i joined, then rest of members joined other guilds doing the raids, made one of my alt as leader as a gift.

Let it die. You can just hold some alts in it for storage if you want, but there are already to many half dead guilds imo.

A number of peeps have a personal guild. The put it in the name of an alt they don't use a lot - perhaps a crafting alt or one they use for boxing or perhaps an occasional play.

There are a lot of advantages for a personal guild including storage such as xtra harvest box, banking, even transport nodes which helps if your guild is in for example Q and you decide to join a FP guild.

You can do some awesome decorating too.

If you don't want to take on the extra rental, then just stop paying it. Or only pay the rent if you need to use the private guild for a week or two, etc.

There is no "guild merge" for status, etc. You either pay the rent or not. It'll still be there if you ever decide to make it active again (by paying rent).

Well he said his guild was lvl 24, so he doesn't have a guild hall. If you don't want the task of being a guild leader just leave and find a guild of people that fit your play style. If you are up to the challenge of being a leader recruit people that have a similar play style as yourself and have fun.

You could always give it to someone.

Ask in 1-9 chat if anyone is interested in a lvl 24 guild with no strings attached, invite them make them leader and let them kick you.

What server you on?

Get it to level 30 and sell it for about 700-900pp. That appears to be the going rate on some servers.

as long as you have a sizeable friends list, having your own private guild isn't that bad. I've only had mine just over a year and its lvl 45 and has a guild hall with 12 amenities. It's fun to decorate too. Upkeep and rent is stupidly easy to maintain.

There are no formal facilities for guild alliances but you can have informal alliances and just make a custom channel for your alliance chat.

It may be wrong for you, but not for the OP. No need to downplay someone else's play decision because you don't like it.

Check your server for alliances. On Unrest there is a long standing raid alliance that grew from small guilds that even had less than 5 peeps. Friendships grow over time to work quests and group instances and not only raids.

Keep a friends' list going and maintain regular contact. You'll be surprised at the number of friendships that can form that way. And it just may end up with a few more peeps joining your personal private guild over time.

There are many small private guilds of families and friends. Not everyone belongs to large guilds. I've seen guilds with less than 20 peeps, yet are very active. I've seen guilds with more than 100 peeps that are lucky to have 10 peeps online at any one time. Size of a guild doesn't make the game.Size of a guild doesn't "limit your enjoyment of the game."

I know peeps who don't even belong to guilds, yet they enjoy it very much because the way they wish to play is readily availble to them with a lot of challenges, accomplishments and enjoyment along the way.

What makes the game is how satisfied you are at your accomplishments. Does the game provide the challenges and goals that you wish to adventure or craft? Only you can decide that.

Your guild is part of your play style and I applaud you for not changing it because someone says it's "the worst decision". If it is, you will change it in time because you want to do so.

On Unrest it is: http://eq2alliance.clan-arion.com/

Good adventures to you.
