Ok, so I'm relatively new to the game, I played from launch up until DoF, but so much has changed since then it doesn't even feel like the same game.

I'm quite enjoying the Bruiser class, and in fact it was the class I was working on when I just gave up on EQ2 years ago because Shadowknights were so hopelessly gimped(kinda regetting that now with how SKs are). I'm up to level 56 right now, but I just feel overwhelemed by the AAs because there are so many.

What should I focus on? Like, the Brawler tree? And if so, what part of it? Should I focus on increasing my damage in the Bruiser tree? I've just been kind of spending them as I felt like on abilities that looked good, and have a lot of points in the STR and AGI trees with some points in the Bruiser tree like maxed out IP. But I fully plan on respeccing when I reach a higher level, so any input would be great.

There's no int in that list.

but yeah, i also think str and int are key. Str all the way down to Chi and Int until you max crits and then get out of there.

STR 10 10 2 (2)

Int 4 10

And then it depends on what you're doing. Early on I've taken the sta and agi line starters just to have some extra CA's to throw.

I only have 60 AA at lvl 48 right now, but when i changed my lines up this way it was a big improvement.

I would get str and int-line first, 4, 10, 6, 1 in both. In the bruiser tree you need ignore paint first, then go for the stuff on the right side. In tso tree Battle hardening is a must. With your amount of aa I think this will be a good start, but it's just a quick assesment

Why is CHi so important for a lvling bruiser? It is a great skill, but with 7 minutes 30 recast it doesn't seem nearly as useful as crit and possibly even AE attack due to how much I would kill between reuse times.

Or, is Chi effected by its own hastes so that recast is actually much faster than 7m30?

Chi is effected by its own so it will recast quicker than expected. I think mine is roughly 4 mins or slightly less. Sorry can't remember exactly.

Ah, I thought that may be the case. 3m 45 recast makes it much better

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe it is affected by its self. No other ability that reduces recast works on its self. The recast was reduced to 5 minutes when SF was launched. The rest of the reduction you have is your own gear or other AA's/buffs.
