I went in as an 85 assassin we were all mentored to 80. I sneak up behind a wizard and assassinate

wait for it

for 1k dmg (I have hit PvE for over 45k with this), and then they one shot me.

Enjoy it if you like it.

So you joined into a gameplay you have never experienced and expected to kill people right away?

Sorry, but playing against players that also want to kill you has a learning curve.

If at first you don't succeed, give up and post on forums.

I get one shotted by 'sins all the time on my weak dirge lol. But going in once and emoragequitting doesn't help things. Maybe ask for advice? But it's true, it's not for everyone. Luckily, I have been humiliated in PVP enough that my ego has long since withered to dust. Assassins do seem to have an issue with egos though... :p

Remember, this is the guy who started a post complaining about wanting a non-BG method to obtain BG armor, since it was impossible for him to find groups and get gear through instances.

Their burst damage focused on the right target can turn the tide. There are some very skilled Assassins running Battlegrounds regularly, I have seen them.

Its a shame that you chose this one event to be your only criterion for judging Battlegrounds.

But, maybe that's best for everyone. Battlegrounds certainly doesn't need another player spending the whole match bemoaning how much they suck.

And with a wild guess, the OP wasn't wearing BG gear with Toughness (which is dirt cheap for the 80th version) and tried to punk a PvP geared Wizard. Yeah, that's not going to turn out well for the Assassin. Even at 90th, I can instantly tell the non-Toughness people apart with my Brigand once I start swinging. If I carve through them like a hot knife through butter, then they're in PvE gear. It really isn't pretty. (Though top end PvE raid gear is another story.)
