<p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">I have been trying to update my list of developers that have had some connection with Norrathian lore at some time or another. Many have left and new voices have arisen. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">I thought it might be helpful for those searching for 'official' lore on this forum to know the names of of those they should search for.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">I left off the list our past forum moderators such as Scarrlette, Starryeyedelf, StrollingWolf, Echgar, Morningside, Tsunai, Shareana, Samulbrar and others (I assure you not out of disrespect or neglect).</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">We have learned through interviews with many designers that there really never has been an official position as a lore designer. That it is a communal effort, though some have more of an interest in it than others, and therefore take a more active role.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">The list above is not comprehensive by any means, and I am sure I am leaving out someone that I should remember, which is why I am asking for input from the grognards here on the forum to assist my failing memory.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">In addition, as Cusa has pointed out in another thread, When the change was made from the old forum format to the present one, hundreds of posts (at least) were lost in the move.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">It was analagous to the burning of the Library at Alexandria. I myself had not backed up any of the old files and all were lost to me. I was wondering if there were some vestiges from the old forum left stored away in some dusty corner of your RPG computer files that might be retrieved?</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">At any rate here is what I can recall (from Verant and EQ Live to EQ2 and the present) (in no particular order):</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Brad McQuaid (Aradune)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">Steve Clover</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">John Smedley</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Tony Garcia (Vhalen)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Jeremy Gess (Jindrack)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Bill Trost</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Tracy Seamster (Owlchick)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Noel Walling (Ilucide)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Lindsay Lockhart (Doomcookie)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Holly Longdale (Vahlar)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Emily Taylor (Domino)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Paul Molina (Cronyn)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Christie Renzetti (Kiara)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Craig Dalrymple (Grimwell)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Ryan Shwayder (Blackguard)</span><p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Steve Kramer (Saavedra)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Aaron Bisnett (Gnobrin)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Greg Spence (Rothgar)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Alan Crosby (Brenlo)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Kyle Vallee (Kander)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Tiffany Spence (Amnerys)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Carlos Mora (Gninja)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Chris Kozak (Aeralick)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Steve Danuser (Moorgard)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Nathan McCall (Kaitheel)</span></p></p></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Kyle Vallee (Kander)</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">I didn't know this. Or at the very least, didn't put it together. Kyle is a coot cat and has helped me in the past when I think at the time he was just a GM, or Lead Admin GM, etc.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Then much later, I had worked with Kander on some questlines and other things for TSO.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: small;">Awesome to know they are one in the same.</span></p>

<p>Bill Trost was the original main lore guy from EQ1. I think he was the one mainly responsible for creating Norrath's history timeline and cosmology. Vhalen also did alo of the original lore, especially with Lucan D'Lere and the Freeport area in EQ1 and then he was, of course, the main lore guy for EQ2. Those two have left a bigger stamp on Norrathian lore than anyone.</p>

<p>I would like to point out that the names on this list are the names of the individuals that *posted* here, and sometimes are not the actual person that developed the lore.</p><p>For instance, some in their role on the community team may be the poster, but not necessarily the originator of the lore content of the post.</p><p>Likewise some who actually do come up with the lore may remain anonymous toiling behind the scenes unknown to us.</p><p>I just wanted to clarify that point, as some names on the list really are wearing a different hat than that of lore developer.</p>
