I find it funny since I have been back the number of inquisitors who claim its a class job to heal and only heal, this a myth that seems to be present these days in every mmo because of the people who try it and fail or the people who just cant hack it on other classes. The fact is an inquis can if played properly hang with any melee dps class out there in their own way as long as their being compared one on one not one vs lets say a zerker with full raid buffs since if you were in the raid you would share those buffs. This is does not mean they are necessarily better than certain dps but they can play that roles very easily. However, I see a lot of people asking how to spec for dps and I will always say go buy some respec cards and experiment until you find what works for you, besides the obvious must have specs such as str line for the no interrupts and battle cleric for power reduction its about your play style so aa should very from player to player. Last ignore all those people who complain about how you play your character as it is possible to dps on an inquis and most healing classes, just play for fun. I have either mt'd or offtanked almost every instance out there at one time or another on my inquis, generally not out of desire but either the tank lacked experience or some other circumstance and had no problems as long as others new their classes. Sometimes this even required me playing main healer as well but I prefer to shortman everything due to my pickiness of whom I choose to run with. This seems to apply to every mmo I have ever played from eq1 on, but in every mmo I hear the same complaints about healing being a job, while I do heal no matter what role I play it is not a job and I play healers in every mmo. Bottom line build a toon and play it the way you want to, this is an mmorpg if you want to be a complete cookie cutter that is fine if not that is fine as well just have fun.

Even thought inquisitors are not strong with paragraphs I agree they are very strong in the hands of capable players. It sadness me when I run a pug with a healer that does not dps.

Not that strange to find me not dpsing in pugs. I am far more likely to rip aggro than the wizard is, so if I don't know the tank, I tend to play it safe. I don't want to brass off my group after all, but if the tank sucks, I have no problem ripping aggro, healing myself and being the tank.

I have no idea of where any delusions of healing or tanking came from. We're a melee DPS class, a plate battle mage, masters of extracting pain and information. Always have been, always will be. Any who claim otherwise, will be summarily acquired and ruthlessly interrogated, until they change their mind on the fact of what is.After all, the only reason Inqs have any form of "healing", is so we can heal our foes after torturing them, so we can keep on doing it until their mind breaks.
