Got a shiny new PC with Windows 7 and naturally I'm now having all sorts of problems getting things to run. It launched just fine yesterday, but today it's a no go. Here's the error message I'm getting from station launcher.

"There was a problem moving C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_9208_329.patched to C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds."

It does this over and over and over. I've been searching high and low for a link to the old launcher that bypasses station launcher and can't find it anywhere. I even reinstalled SF using my disks in the hopes the EQ2 icon would do it. It doesn't. It goes through station launcher.

Please help!

Thank you.

ETA I do not have a ProgramData file. It goes ProgramFiles (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentStation Launcher. I tried adding them manually, but I still get the error.

Since you are using Windows 7 on that machine, please follow these steps to ensure compatibility with the game:1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

That will usually fix the problem, but let us know if it does not.

Okay, I did as you suggested and also changed the user account control settings as suggested by a thread I came across on another site. Not sure which suggestion worked, but I'm in game now.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
