Having recently returned to Norrath after a year's absence, and having recently hit 80, I have added Repent to my spellbook but have not had many chances to fully test it in a group/raid situation. How does the ward component of Repent rate as far as generating aggro on the templar? I know from past experience that placing reactive heals on a tank that has yet to gain the aggro on a mob results in me getting pounded on. Do wards like Repent and Shield of Faith (another spell I have not actually used much) generate the same kind of aggro as our reactive and direct heals, and therefore should not be cast prior to the tank gaining the aggro? Of course, this is usually only a concern in those multiple heroic mob or named/epic mob situations, and I realize, too, that Repent has a healing component in addition to the ward. However, if the tank is starting a pull at full health, it seems only the ward component would trigger at first, depending on the size of the initial hits by the mob. Thanks in advance!
