What's it for?

<p>Greetings,</p><p>As I farm, log and mine my way arround Norath I often wonder what all the 'rares' are used for and who would want them. Do I need them in my particular tradskill or should I sell them? For instance, as a provisdioner is that dandilion root thing any use to me or should I sell it to an armourer? Can I use the 'Glowing material' to decorate cakes?</p><p>Given the pletrhora of help and information available to us tyro's can some one point me to where I can see what use each rare is for?</p>

<p>Rares are used for mastercrafted gear, Expert spell and combat abilities and high quality housing items. As a provisioner you won't use them for tradeskilling but you should keep them for asking other crafters to make mastercrafted gear or spell/combat abilities for you.  You can also sell them for a nice amount on the broker.  I have all nine crafters so all of my rares go to making gear/spell combat abilities for my adventurers <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; color: #cc99ff; font-size: small;">As a crafter you need to have eq2.eqtraders.com and everseek.com in your favorites.  They are a wealth of infomation for any crafters and harvesters.</span></p>

<p>As a provisioner the only items YOUwill personally use in your crafting are the materials (glimmering/sparkling or what not) for a couple of recipes you get from a quest.</p><p>As an adventurer you may very well want to take those rares to another crafter to get them to make you items to wear & use or place in your home.</p>
