Maybe they've already gone through 5 years of decisions and they removed Halas as a starting option.

I have tried a HIgh elf and barbarian and have nto gotten to the point of what class the next step is choosing where to live and while it is stated on the race step which cities the races can start from when I get to the step to actually choose the city Kelethin is the only one of the good cities that is showing at all. to lelect the little Isle that New halas is on is there on teh map but no clicable title New Halas.

Not sure if my the fetish UI has anything to do with it or not I'm trying to remember when I started the 2 toons I did for new halas could have been before I had to go to fetish from Profit due to my computer not liking java anymore. I do know that if I dont' load the default UI for each of my toons I can't use the travel system to get out of New Halas.

Okay, basically what happened probably was one of a few things.

1. You're missing the file for that starting place when on the starting area selection screen.

2. They chose to remove it (Which is unlikely)

3. Your UI is keeping it from showing.

4. Your security system like firewall and stuff may be blocking it. (Which is also unlikely)

5. They have a bug on their server that makes the starter area not show up, either through a bug that makes the file not work with the game, like an error in the script, or a bug that makes it so that the server doesn't have the ability to read it. It's most likely they may have edited something with it and now it won't work. Without that icon, you can't get it as a starting area.

6. Finally, there's only one last possible thing. The file has been tampered with and something caused it not to work with EQ2. This is possible if your new UI does things with icon files. If your new UI does not work with that file, then you will not see it. The reason being that UI Mods modify the defualt UI files from far away in another folder. If this is the case, then your new UI may be replacing that file completely with nothing. What I mean by this is the UI is taking complete control of the whole UI, meaning that all of the files have to be in the new UI. This is unlikely, but is possible if there's a mistake in the coding of the UI files in Fetish.

I'm sure Sony didn't remove it, and that no firewall is blocking it, and that the file is not tampered with by Fetish. There is one good reason, a bug which makes it not show up, or an error in the code. Hope this helps.

A fix could be many things, but most likely switching to the default UI.

I need a custom UI I can use for my healers and update easily like I can with the eq2 mapper. and any java updater will not work with my computer for some reason.
