I try to log on and it says "sorry, there was an error initializing Station Launcher. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again". I am running win7 64 bit and version UI 3.0.0.257 app 3.0.0.171 of the station launcher. I was playing last night and have not changed anything to my knowledge since login in yesterday but now I get that error.

I am having this same issue.

Windows 7 64 bit

Streaming Client UI Version 3.0.0.257 Application Version 3.0.0.171

I was playing last night and didn't change anything.

Now this morning the launcher hangs with the SOE logo in the center then gives me the following message:

Sorry, there was an error initializing Station Launcher. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again.

I have tried running the Launcher as administrator, but had the same results.

Nothing was blocked in my firewall, but I cleared out all EQ2 stuff anyways and still had the same results.

Another Windows XP 32bit computer that uses the Station Launcher can log in fine.

On windows 7 go to C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II

Rename your LaunchPad.ini file to LaunchPadback.ini just to back it up!

Then re-open the launcher! (If it looks funny close it and re-open it one more time!)

Good Luck

The file marked with type - 'Configuration Settings' is your INI.

File extensions are hidden by default for most known filetypes.
