Avoidance stat is misleading

<p>In ACT, rarely does my true avoidance approach my 87% in defensive mode. More like 55% on average and that includes damage avoided due to Stonewill wards. Are others finding it to be true too?</p>

<p>That 87% is your contested avoidance.  Enemies can reduce that number by having a high weapons skill.  Typically speaking, if you're facing an even con solo mob you should get the stated value, but anything harder than that and you'll see the numbers drop significantly.  You can raise your avoidance further by focusing on uncontested avoidance instead.</p><p>This thread has a more in-depth explanation: <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=472979">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=472979</a></p>
