View Full Version : Confronting the Godslayer rewards still sub-par -- Any love? :)

With the rewards from both the Mega-collection and Dartain's Signature quest seeing some improvement on Test, would it be possible to give the same amount of love to the rewards from the raid Signature quest series (In Search of Lucan --> Whispers from the Past --> Confronting the Godslayer)?

As far as charms go, there seems to be a significant lack of anything worthwhile in this expansion, with the exception of the charms from the x2 Vigilant zone.

At the very least, given the length of the quest, and the mobs necessary for its completion, the rewards should be given resists as well as an effect/proc since -- currently -- they're far, far worse than T8 charms (Miragul's, Avatar, or the Flawless charms come to mind, all of which are preferable). 5 mount speed really should not be counted at all as a blue stat since it's for flavor only.

D.

strangely - this is one time where I just dont see it.

the scout one has 10 crit, 3 crit bonus - 3 potency, and good stats. thats alot of crit for 1 item, and that frees up my MMB charm and cloak set - which means this charm replaces 2 items, and allows me the freedom to choose a new cloak for whatever stats I need next.

I am all for upgrading the charm should they want to, I just dont think its anywhere near as bad as you think. proc or not, I still intend to use it to free up my MMB charm and cloak combo,.

Would it also be possible to have the quest update off Waansu (hardmode) kills, and not only off Perah'Celsis?

Honestly not impressed with the upgrade to them. The priest charm got nothing. The mage charm got 75 more ability mod. The fighter charm got its +skills bumped up to +10 for all. The scout charm got 5 more DA and 75 more ability mod.

Still pretty lack-luster, imo.

What exactly did they get for upgrades? I did note that the priest version is the exact same as it is on live, which is disheartening.

Guess I'll just do the mega collection, since it's WAY better.. More crit chance, same crit bonus, slightly less potency, and a proc...

Most of the time the 'priest' rewards this expansion aren't as good as fighter, scout, or mage variants for priests to use this expansion anyway. Unless you want wisdom for leet dps, then the only things that matter are potency, crit bonus, ability mod, reuse, and procs, and the choice is usually clearly not going to be the priest reward in that case.

They think priests want an item because it has more wisdom on it, when wisdom adds nothing for healing and so an items worth to a priest becomes a measure of it's blue stats and procs, with the green stats completely ignored. And in this case, you look at the priest and mage items and they are exactly the same, except the priest has 5% cast haste where the mage one has 150 mod. Cast haste is so abundant for priests, it's clear which is the better choice for priests between just those 2 and it's not the one that has more wisdom.

to say these were upgraded is somewhat misleading.

the differences is so small, its like going from your T1 BP to your T2 BP.

you know - get 5 extra agility - .1 increase to crit bonus, and 10 more mit.... its that kinda upgrade. SF has been notoriously bad about what it calls upgrades, and this another 1 of those moments.

lets just say - these charms were changed alittle, and thats about it.

If a person is not in a raiding guild then killing perah and theer is truely not possible. Buying the collection is entirely possible, just merely difficult depending on your cash flow. While killing those mobs might be easier for raiders by a long shot, in the overall scheme the collections are far more accessable.

Technically you would have to say improved in that they are *slightly* better then they were previously.... but +5 to all weapon skill? I mean, c'mon, really? These should all have procs, the mage one should have a pet focus, the tank one should have... well... some sort of tanking stats, block chance or mit increase or something.
