It was working fine - Could see the count down timer counting down to game start.

Now - Nothing. Gone - Vanished - All I get to see if the duration of the game time that pops up once the game has started.

Any ideas how I can get the countdown timer back - It is a pain not knowing when to pop temp buffs etc.

TY

I'm pretty sure that that box is draggable. You might have moved another box over top of it, making it not visible. In class right now so not sure, but whatever F key that changes you're boxes to have all black backgrounds so you can move and check your boxes. Mine is up in my right and corner (not sure if I moved it there ). But try moving some of the boxes around.

There's a fix for it on the Test Server that should be in GU56:

The battleground score window will show when you enter a battleground even if you have moved the window.

I have the same issue right now. I'm sure there's probably a way to reset the window to the default location by deleting the correct line(s) somewhere in the UI xml files. But I decided not to mess with mine since I'm not sure exactly what the correct deletions would be, and there's a fix coming relatively soon.

I had an issue like this in the past, missing Timer Window and when it was there it never seemed to work correctly. By this I mean the clock counting down to zero and flipping back up to 30s without respawning me - or in some cases not counting down at all leaving me perma-dead.I corrected the issue by just deleting the 4 battleground files in the paks folder and repatching. I'm sure only one needed to be deleted, but what the heck I did all four.

I have moved all boxes around in case it was hiding. It was not hiding, it has just vanished. I am NOT a techy so your solution although sounding very plausible in reality to me means absolutely nothing. I could attempt to follow your instructions but I feel I know the outcome will be me re-installing EQ2 due to me deleting the wrong files / folders / directories.

DEVS - Please can you confirm this as a problem? and have fix made !!!! NO COUNTDOWN TIMER TO GAME START - BIG PAIN !!

TY

It's understandable to be cautious, you shouldn't delete anything you're not sure of. The beauty of the way the game is setup, it's very difficult to delete something where the game couldn't patch it and run again. Worst case is that you loose some preference like UI settings, ect.. but not in the Paks folder. If you wish to take a extra step of precautions you could make a new folder within the Paks folder and name it backup and move the battleground files (4 of them) into said folder where they will be safe. Then repatch. Once the patcher is done do not start the game and check to see that the files were indeed re-downloaded - then startup the game once again. We have been trained with applications such as Windows, or other big software, not to delete files - the way EQ2 is setup though you're pretty safe, at worst case loosing preferances. To be cautious though, that's a healthy thing.

Here is a temporary fix i found on the eq2interface.com site. Make a macro with this command line:

/show_window ArenaChampions.BGScore

Then click it when in BG's before the match starts and your countdown timer will come back. Just stumbled across this the other day.

I can cope with macro programming

SOE = On a side note I really like having to set up 3 macros to use when zoning in and out of BG. Nothing like passing on the problem to the customer to sort out..........good job
