View Full Version : BG are fundamentally broken. :(

Point simple, no healer/s on your team you lose. If nothing else is fixed in BG (and there is argueably alot to fix), the team creation sub-routine needs an either/or. Either both sides get healer/s or both sides get none.

Not true.I was in 6 vs 6 gears match. I am a healer, and I was the only healer in the match. Blue : Inquisitor, Paladin, Necromancer, Shadowknight, Warlock, DirgeRed: Shadowknight, Shadowknight, Warlock, Warlock, Troubador, Guardian.I healed for over 4 million HP, we lost.

Yea, but look at the outgoing damage from their team compared to yours. They completely outdpsed you.

Seeing the topic I thought it was going to be about how your chances for success rise and fall in direct correlation with the number of Crusaders in your group/raid.

I've won gears several times with my Necro as the only healer - other than Paladins & SKs. It's definitely a handicap though. The number of healers doesn't have to be the same, but it would be nice (for that zone in particular) if both sides = 0 or both sides > 0. There's certainly nothing wrong with that logic.

My point being that no matter how much healing you did, you were always going to lose that match. For starters your teams warlock doing less than half the damage of their troubador... If your team wasn't so full of faildps there is a chance you may have won. It's not like you were beaten 700 - 50. A healer may give a significant advantage over a team without, but if the rest of the team sucks then they can still lose.

Get 2 warlocks in Klak and your chance to fail will be very low.

Should have a healer in each group of no healer in either imo, I don't think anything else should be done to the match maker. If they try to over automate it then they'll make new bugs

I was also in a Gears match where we had 0 healers vs their 2. We also won. But to be honest, their side really sucked. They were apparently in bad gear because they were soft & squishy. Tanks were not taunting. And neither healer was helping the other much. This was the exception rather than the rule.

To be honest, the MatchMaker should not be forming matches like that. Even if they were grouped up together, it needs to split them in the interest of balance.

I've won matches with a no heal team before also. You need some pretty massive dps to pull it off usually.

Still, it would be nice if there were some kind of group balancing. I have gotten into slaughter fests countless times. 4 scouts, 1 tank, 1 mage vs 2 healers, 3 tanks and 1 mage, [Removed for Content] is that?
