Connecting from China

<p>I've wanted to play Everquest II from China for several years now. I tried again recently with no success. I'm still receiving an error. Sony support still asserts they don't block IPs from China so I'm guessing EQ is being blocked locally by my ISP. This leaves me with one option. Namely, to connect through a VPN and Sony does admit blocking connections through VPNs. </p><p>My I suggest (beg even) that Sony unblock connections through FreeGate servers. As I doubt it would provoke a sudden and uncontrollable flood of Spam. Most users just use it to log on to Skype sans-spyware or log on to facebook by circumventing ridiculous internet censorship. </p>

<p>As far as I'm aware, the game can not be accessed through a VPN.  That said, I do not know if that is a technical limitation or intentionally designed to increase security.  Sadly, this kind of thing is decided far over my head and isn't something I'll have any direct information about.</p>
