First i would like to say how dissapointing it is to see that the Mercurial Onslaugh adds 5 Double attack to the pet. The 5 crit is perfect, but why the hell would you give us 5 double attack to the pet also when clearly no self respecting necro or conjy EVER uses the scout pet.... I have personally tested the full scout line with master scout pet in raids, on a dummy and in instances ( having 250 aa's on my necromancer of course) against mage pet with its full aa lines. And just to sum it up...the scout pet FAILS miserably compared to the Mage pet for both necro's and conjy's...so that is my question WHY ADD 5 Double attack to the weapon as a buff instead of >>>>> 5 SPELL DOUBLE attack.

That is the simple solution is to just change that buff to also say 5 double attack/5 spell double attack and of course the other part of it which is 5 crit bonus ( 5crit is a great idea, much needed) since that gives us an option at least to put that buff to good use. If you ask around any good necromancer or conjuror there is absolutely NO CHANCE at all that they would use a scout pet over a mage pet. Take a survey of 100 necro's and conjys they will all tell you that they would definately use a mage pet over a scout pet everywhere they go from raids to bg, to instance zones --------BELOW ARE THE REASONS.

1 - Scout pets, with scout aa lines get absolutely and completely obliterated by any weak easy mode raid aoe....and thats the truth. Conjys on the other hand have a much harder time keeping their mage pets alive that stay out of most aoe's and dps through them at a distance...so you think they would have an easier time using a scout....i dont think so...fail fail fail they wouldnt use scout pets period. Scout pets would get torn up in seconds after the pull and thats that.

2 - Brilliant thinking by sony and constant fail about understanding what our class needs and how to build them properly STILL MADE SCOUT PETS MUCH MUCH MUCH WEAKER for doing any dmg to any raid target or even in instances. ( be it on SINGLE target or AOE) once again scout aa lines and master scout pet would get put to shame against a mage pet with its own aa lines.

3 - Scout pet isnt practical to use - we are mages and in raids we get put into mage groups with mage buffs and mage related everything and anything....why would we use them when they would have to fight up close to the mob - when some hard mode aoes hit harder the close you are to the named.

So to sum this all up...noone uses scout pets ( but thats a fail on your part) Its pathetic to see that Leyline LEGENDARY wand that you can buy with instance tokens is 1000% better than what you are offering to us - to buy with 150 raid tokens which is weeks and weeks of raiding....no its not worth it. Sad to say legendary Leyline wand is still better....and get this..it even has POTENCY on it. Lastly id like to mention that there are thousands of choices to choose from for charms cloaks, and the rest while there is nothing decent for summoners to pick from - i havent seen any good fabled cloak or raid cloak in general that can be used by summoners with pet buffs, not to mention the scary situation for our other slots...we are a different type of mage, dont short us on gear.

3 different posts on the "In testing FEEDBACK" forums, all that concur the sublime weapons are with very few exceptions, fairly horrid. All 3 posts identified very specifically that even before the nerfs on test to these weapons, that the dagger designed for pet classes is absolute garbage. Will it take this being pushed to live before you think again and fix it? Believe me if I blow 150 raid seal tokens on the sublime rod (because sadly thanks to your complete fail at summoner itemization I need the spell mod and that alone makes this weapon semi attractive to me) and find out that a month down the line you finally listened to the feedback on the pet effect weapon and make it worth a [Removed for Content], I'm going to be upset to say the least.

So I guess more ppl are interested in some newbie starting area than fixing the lvl 90 itemization this xpac. Kinda lame if you ask me. It's not just QQ about the sublime weapons necessarily, but more like there are only 4 updates per year and somehow the total fail of itemization at release is continuing through this first update. I guess at this point folks have already said to hell with Sentinel's Fate and would rather they spend their time on not making Velious the same failure?

I've heard this weapon has been updated on Test. A screenshot would be lovely but from what I've heard of the change it sounds more inline now for raid use, as well as an appropriate investment for the reduced seal price (100 seals I was told).

Thanks for listening.

The mage weapons look much better for the 100 token price on test now. They both have the same damage ratings as the priest weapons (which comes out to be just a touch less than my defiler's old level 80 2-Hander from WOE... the Hammer of Hard Knocks.) This alone is a huge and welcome surprise, thinking as an enchanter, anyway.

Both have Pestilential Rain procs with exactly the same damage amounts. Both have 9 crit and 2 reuse. The rod gets 150 spell mod and the dagger gets Destructive Forces (12.4 potency, 12.4 crit bonus). Not well versed in pet buffs myself but that certainly sounds pretty sweet. Definitely, at least, solid alt loot quality.

Totally agree with the OP.

Especially conjurers are crippled without their pet so we need to choose items that have pet buffs on them if we do not want to lose dps. A fabled weapon without pet stats on them has to boost my personal damage by much before i consider using it instead of the heroic mark of manaar ley line sunrod.

A lot of the conjurer dps comes from our dps / us casting temporary effects on our pet. Give us decent pet choices for all slots pls and change the Sublime Dagger to spell double attack.

Just let the summoners share stats with their pets and be done with it. It would be much easier to just balance the classes in their base form than making extra equipment for every slot for them. Even when the extra equipment is made it's either not enough for the summoners liking or vastly OP. Make the class balance dev do their job and stop pawning it off on the itemization guys.

Because summoner items are not restricted to summoners, I often have to roll against all types of casters. On raids at least the chanters bid on items with pet buffs (which makes me want to bite my mouse each time considering how much of their dps comes from their pets and that they would be well off using gear with no pet buffs but higher procs).

I on the other hand never bid / roll on gear without pet buffs unless no caster wants it and I can use it for resists.

Ok I have checked the test server because i read somewhere that the dagger was changed already. It is changed and it is great now, thanks for that!
