The main thing are the blue slots. But still, once you figure in the stats on the other pieces, it does add up. It just sucks for those of us who have already bought the earlier pieces. Hell, I haven't even equipped mine yet (still L89).

This type of mentality forces me to sit on my tokens. Because you just don't know what they're going to do next week! It's much more fun when you're allowed to trade-in / upgrade. You get a sense of progression.

Challengers is actually shared stats with other classes where as the original BG gear was much higher in stats than other classes. Another obvious clue that Aerilik played a scout. If I could find my stupid screenshots I would post pics I have of 4 of my toons with their BG legs and how the scout version is far greater. I'm glad to see someone caught this and lowered the stats on the Challengers plate and legs. It did say 79 STR till we griped about it. Thanks devs!

Edit - oops it said 79 STA not STR.

This thread is about the abysmal increase in power for the tokens it costs.

They should make it work like TSO shard armor, the new stuff being tier 2. In order to get it you need the corresponding tier 1+tokens.

It doesn't really matter though. They could put Potency 100 and 1,000,000 HP on each piece, if and when everyone gets it the status quo will still remain. The grossly overplayed classes (for obvious reasons) will still dominate. Damage will go up at an equal or greater pace than does defensive capabilities and healing. In the end, nothing will have changed other than exagerated stats in your persona.
