Same problem here, but the message is a bit different:

http://img203.imageshack.us/i/bugti.png/

EDIT: Got it working after rebooting my PC and launching the launcher as administrator (for some reason it took a lot more time to launch in this mode)

If you haven't done so already, the first thing you should try is running as administrator by following these steps:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.5. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".6. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

If the problem persists at that point then try deleting the specific file it mentions in the error and the lp_temp folder in your game directory.

Also, if you're looking for immediate support then the forums usually aren't the best place to go. I try to post as much as possible but that is usually later in the day on Wed/Thurs/Fri once the e-mails are under control. Generally I would advise calling our support line as the fastest way to correct a problem. The following link contains our contact information:

http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=10404

Doing what DanielH said fixed it for me, and I did not have to delete the temporary file.

My install is fresh from sentinal fate dvd's. This is on windows 7 64bit. It saves the files under C:/ProgramData/Sony Online Entertainmen/Installed Games/Everquest 2.

I am not sure if this is the right spot as I have read that it should possibly be C:/Users/(name)/AppData/LocalLow/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/Everquest 2. While this path exists for me, there is not game data there just an empty folder.

The error reads from the /ProgramData path though for me. Anyone been ableto fix this?
