I have used a custom UI for a very long time, but relatively recently changed to the DrumsUI. The game has been working well with it, until today. Now the game does not even see my eq2.ini file - if I delete this file and relaunch the game it isn't even redownloaded. It seems like it just ignores everything not in the default UI file now.

I have tried to delete and redownload the everquest2.exe file, the cache files, my server_charactername.ini file, my server_uisettings.ini file, and yes, the eq2.ini file. All are recreated from the server EXCEPT the eq2.ini file, which of course is needed for custom UIs to be loaded! I even tried reloading this file from the Drums site, but no dice! What is going on?

Ok, problem solved. I should have checked more before posting. I use the DrumsUI, and it was just updated today so that wasn't the problem. However, Drums now used a modified browser based on the Othesis browser that I used to use. Since I like the features in the old browser, I was happy and copied my custom favorites to the new one. However, it is not a 1-1 compatible thing. After determing that, I made the needed changes and it works much better. /sigh

That file is added most of the time when adding a custom UI or making other modifications. If you delete that file then you'll need to reinstall the custom UI in most cases. Simply rerunning the patcher will not download that file.
