TRADESKILLSMaster Crafted items have received an upgrade to put them more correctly inline between treasured and legendary items.

Does this mean mc cloaks will be worth something in T5 and beyond when people get the Everfrost EASY quested TREASURED cloaks you can wear for 20 levels?

This makes no sense. At least at levels 1 - 62. Mastercrafted is already better than just about anything you're going to find in a dungeon.

Mastercrafted Cloth and Leather for Tier 9, even after this upgrade, is still pretty bad really.

Well I shouldn't say bad. They're possibly better than the solo quest rewards. But they really aren't eye catching, and considering the low harvest rate for Tier 9 rares, I imagine most players would just skip mastercrafted altogether and move to faction armor and/or Mark of Manaar/mob drop armor.

For Summoners as well, the pieces have no pet focuses at all either.

The T7 mc shield is better than Castle Mistmoore named-dropped defender in stats.

Look at the difference:

MC imbued xegonite tower shield - 1029 protection, 40 strength, 40 sta, 120 health/power, 302 to all resists, plus the imbue proc.

B'Riareos' Defender from CMM (can buy on broker) - only a kite shield since probably back when crusaders could only use up to kite shields - 1191 protection, only 20 strength, 35 sta, +15 wis, 125 health, 75 power, 292 nox/arcane, 50% chance on a block to cast 2 sec daze and increase in threat.

There really isn't anything there screaming for someone to drop MC it seems.

On the flip side you have the EF quested treasured cloaks that trump MC for two tiers at least.

They will never change all the old stuff. They flat stated the were not going to go back and change the old dropped gear for the new stat design, so why would they even consider changing the old crafted gear.

This is simply one more "fix" for SF that should have never made live in the first place.

That may be where the rest of the specs for the gear are designed to come from.

The change may be intended for and apply only to Tier 9 items. If that is the case then it should be stated that way. Because of the way it is written, I took the time to check my MC level 62 items and found no changes other than Toughness +6 added to them. A clarification of SOEs desired results of the change would help the testers find bugs.
