Doesn't matter if the person is actually in range, you get this error the first 4-5 times you cast this ability in a battleground. Annoying. Please fix it.

You need to be in melee range for this ranged attack to work in BG...

/shakes head

also lifeburn doesnt work and everyone seems to be "immune" to all my spells lol

oh and since when did "stream of arrows" change to a cluster or arrows? i hate it now.

It's not that you have to be in melee range, it's that the entire group of your target has to be within range of you being able to hit them before it will fire. It's supposed to be a blue AE yet clearly doesn't act like one. It's been like this since BG's were released and I know I've /bugged and /feedbacked it a few times.

If I am soloing someone and we're the only 2 people for miles, I still get this message. It eventually fires after mashing the button 4-5 times.

Yeah I hate this issue. Gotten so that I rarely attempt to use this skill. Takes forever to cast, seems easy to interupt, and it rarely works. There doesn't seem to be any actual error. It just requires a bunch of attempts even when the target is nearly point blank. It's a blue and should go off if the target is in range and then affect whoever else is close enough to the ae effect. The only thing I can think of that might be causing it is if the target is moving when you try to cast.

Not that button mashing is the best idea anyways. I usually try it once and then skip over it.

There have also been times when it's finished firing even after my initial target has died too oddly enough.

Whatever is going on with this skill needs to fixed. Its conditions before firing a too restrictive to use realiably. Pounce has no issues firing and it has a simular effect. Pounce requires stealth and can be used in melee and at range. I use it many many times during matches. Stream of arrows I might get lucky and cast it once. It's just not right that a spell I can rely on and use consistently in PvE to be so quirky and apparently useless in PvP. Especially when I have a nearly identical spell that works fine.Also. If my target is truly not in range then the spell icon should be disable just like every other combat art. If I am too far away my melee arts go red. Too close my range arts go red. Stream of arrows appears ready at normal range but we get that stupid message about being out of range. Fine if I am out of range the icon should be red letting me know I have not met the firing conditions.

I agree 100% with EverRude. Stream of Arrows is just plain bugged. Which is a shame because it was perhaps the nicest surprise in SF when SOE turned a useless spell into an extremely useful one. Please someone at SOE take a look at this.

By the way, my experience is that some matches it works fine. I click it and it casts at normal range, then other matches it is extremely rare that it works at all. My memory may be faulty but it seems like it works better in Gears than in Ganak. And I don't think this is about Gears being a smaller map. I don't know how many times I have received the error out of range, move closer still out of range, etc. until I am right on top of someone and it still won't fire.
