So, I finally got myself copied over to Test to check out the new changes, and I have to say I like the new animations and sounds of my Highland Stalker.

Only one small problem.

HE WON'T SHUT UP!

Every second or third 'step' the Stalker has a chance to growl. The problem is, that's every second or third step too often.

All I hear while running is growl growl growl growl step growl growl step growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl growl.

Please, PLEASE turn down the chance of the Stalker from making grumbling noises whenever you take a step. Hearing him growl every 20 steps would still be a tad annoying, but FAR better than every third that is enabled now.

I don't even want to use him anymore it's that bad. Seriously. And he's a great mount for all of my lowbie characters.

Please add a >Shut up!< option to the UI, turning off all pet/mount related sounds, including the healing bear Shaman cast.

Make it so that it's a choice per character to hear or not hear your own pets/mounts and/or any other pets/mounts noises, be it casts, grunts, giggles or f*rts. I seriously have so enough of it, I usually turn all game sounds off, which is really not a good choice, but the only one left it seems.

Thanks for reading.

Purr~

Ever been in a crafting cellar with a bear? I could barely hear my crafting sounds because of all the bear grunting. So make that animal illusions, too.

So in short, I wouldn't know how often they make noise on Test.

I agree, this is hugely annoying. An alternative would be to add an option under the sound menu to adjust the volume or simply toggle on/off mount and illusion sound effects. That would be ideal. But for now, please simply turn this mount off. I wont be able to use this mount at all it is so overbearing.

It sounds like the idle sound file is playing on the run after I changed the run animation. Let me see what's going on.

Is your cat armored or unarmored? It shouldn't make a difference, but I'm trying to figure this one out.

Mine is Armored, don't much care for the appearance of the unarmored one.

The sound my Highland Stalker makes while moving grates on me. It's "waah waah" sound similar to a person in cordaroy pants. My stalker is unarmored. I'd love to get rid of that sound.

Mine does the same thing ( always growling ) while running and it is the unarmored version.

Not the same one it makes while running though. Maybe it's playing the growl sound instead of the footstep noise it's supposed to make (which also isn't on Live) when on the move? I dunno.

I found it. I'll get this fixed before it goes live.

Thanks!

Hold on... they changed the way the Highland Stalker looks!! That is fantastic! Can someone link a screen shot please? Does it still look like im straddeling a purple bus from the back end? Is the head still twice the size of the mid section? I cant belive they changed the look and you guys are talking about the noise it makes! Need some more info please...

Nah, I just had some time to go back in and tweak the run a bit.

Did anyone make a recording of the sound because it sounds really funny.

Would it be possible to remove the swooshing sound from the tentacles too? It's really annoying and "unrealistic". The animation of the tentacles should produce that swooshing sound.

Edit: Wait. that's the fearstalker with the tentacles. Mainly the conjy caster pet. Prolly unrelated to this thread. No highjack was intended.

So when do we get the T-rex mount and I guess we need an actual Panda race since we can't use illusions while on a mount. Or - just make it so we can use our illusions while mounted

The T-Rex kept getting stuck in doorways.

This major bug is still present on Test as of the May 10 patch. Since the Game Update is going to Live in 15 days, I am afraid that a last minute change won't make it in before the Game Update goes Live. This would leave us stuck with a HUGE annoyance from both our mounts and others for atleast 3 months. Please check on this if you could.

Art push for bugs on test hasn't happened yet.

Seems I was too trigger happy on the update. After the latest patch, it appears to have been fixed! Thanks!
