the application has failed to start

Please see the application event log for more details.</p><p>I have tried reinstalled the launchpad and redownloading launchpad.station.sony.com</p>

<p>Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I just installed the launcher on a  brand new install of XP, and am seeing the exact same error.</p><p>Actually my error is slightly different:</p><p>"C:Program FilesSony Online EntertainmentStation LauncherStationLauncher.exe</p><p>This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.</p><p>I have tried re-installing several times, to different locations, but still see the same error.</p>

<p>Ok got it fixed. I didn't have the latest version of the .NET Framework installed. As soon as I installed this, the Station Launcher now works great.</p>

<p>The Station Launcher doesn't use .Net, but that install probably included the Visual Studio Runtime.</p><p>-dan</p>
