I'm returning to EQ2 after a longish absence. I've just downloaded the launcher, and it's trying to install itself to the ProgramData folder (Windows 7). I don't think I want it to do that. I've also read a few things on this forum about a new streaming client, and I'm pretty sure I don't need that.

Is there a way to get the plain old EQ2 launcher that downloads the full game and installs like a normal program? Or is the only non-streaming option the Station Launcher? If I recall correctly, that's sort of like a launcher for launchers, in that I'd have to start it, then start the EQ2 launcher within it, then finally start EQ2; and also it stays resident, which I don't like.

You can use the station launcher to launch EQ2. It doesn't download another launcher, it just downloads and launches EQ2. You can get the original patcher from certain people. I know of people that have it on their website that will periodically post links to it on here. I don't know of any of them off hand. All three will work. The streaming launcher = longggggggg zoning times.

Ah, thank you, I guess they changed more than I realized.
