Being Logged to Character Select while in open areas.

<p>It was my understanding that code was put in place to log us to character select while standing around in guild halls or housing. And that when we are in open areas we would not be logged to character select. I have been experciencing quite the opposite and am Logged to character select mostly while in citys or open areas such as Commonlands Fens and KP</p>

<p>Is this happening when you're away/idle or when you're actively playing?  If you're actively playing then this is likely to be a router issue.  If you are using a router then please try bypassing it so that your computer is connected directly to the modem.  If that fixes the problem then you will need to set up that router for port forwarding in order to continue using it.  The following site has detailed information about how to do so:<a href="http://portforward.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://portforward.com/</a>Simply select the router you're using, click the 'skip this advertisement' link, and then select Everquest 2 on the following list.  That should present you with instructions on how to set up port forwarding on your router.</p>
