these two procs seems to be on well over half the scout gear in the game. I am all for procs and such, but I hate seeing more then 2 items with the same proc on, cause I never really know if they cancel each other out - and if they do - that really sucks.

see, even in ACT, I really cant tell if having 1 item with Follow Through is better then having 4 items with Follow Through.... so it really sucks to see it so incredibly common.

toxic tempest and followthrough right now seem to be the cookie cutter proc - if a item needs a proc - copy and paste it onto this item.... and so on.

the reason why I bring this up is, I saw the new seal vendor weapon - its nice, but again... followthrough....

then I saw the new proc on the scout T3 helm... again... follow through.

enough - please.

something different. anything. something creative like what one found on things like Umbra Blade - or Flawless Charm, or Band of Kunark Commander - you know - unique procs, that weren't on 20 different items.

having the same proc on so many items is really getting old.

especially when its hard to tell if they even stack.

I agree, the lack of unique items in this expansion has resulted in a general lack of interest in obtaining them. You may as well have called the effects - Generic Single Target A and Generic Single Target B.

Throw away the auto-stat-generator and actually hand craft some interesting items for a change.

They stack, and they can all proc at once. There really isn't a need for a different named proc as long as it stays like that. I even just tested it on live to make sure it was still the case, having 2 torrent items I turned on auto attack and on the very first swing both items proc'd.

I'm not saying that you need to have every piece of gear with a different special something, but when nearly ALL of it reads the same, there is just not a lot of long term excitement generated for the legendary or raid drops.

People like things to be unique and interesting, when everything has the same stats and effects with just a few bumps here and there between starter zone to difficult heroic zone to raid zone......the sameness is just incredibly boring. WOOT, I got .2 more potency, that always rounds down.....YAY.....and the same proc found in twelve places. It's like buying a kid a great big box of batteries for a Christmas present. Can they use batteries for their toys? Probably. Is it exciting to get four D Cells, a bunch of AAA's and a power pack for your cell phone? Not so much. Our gear has mainly become utilitarian, all tools for the most part rather than the cool toys they should be. I'm aware that there are interesting procs out there, but they're definitely not spread as widely as in previous expansions and therefore the majority of the players are stuck with the uninteresting cookie cutter approach.

I'm forced to agree. The only interesting effects you put into this expansion were Pestilential Rain and Torrent. Good examples of desirable proc gear.

You littered everything else with Followthrough, Toxic Tempest, and the most direly uninteresting series of temporary +casting speed, +reuse, and +crit bonus pieces ever observed to man. Don't get me wrong - these are desirable stats. But not when you limit them to being active for 8 second spans.

I dont mean to imply toxic tempest and Followthrough are bad procs.

I like damage procs as much as anyone else - but whats happening is these two procs seem to be on a zillion different items - just over used, and saturating the gear progression with the same common procs on the highest end to the lowest end gear.
