So my Ranger that I created Nov 23, 2007 on Nagafen, is not played. I raided on him in RoK and some in TSO, and that was a chore. I never got the dar sisters. He's 81, 187 aa's. Has some t8 pvp armor (2 pieces) and jewelry, and fabled epic weapon. Fully t8 master'd. Anywhoo...

I think it would be a fun, energy-injecting, change, to betray to Assassin. Please comment on my, "betrayal timeline strategy," and help me with my question?

My strat is to level him as Ranger to 90, then betray. That way, I have good enough CA's through tier 9 to level and pump up the aa's. Simultaneously I'll level my 80 jeweler, and have all the Expert spells ready by the time my toon is ready to betray. That's my strat.

My question is this. When should I do the enervated quest line? As Ranger, before betraying, or as Assassin, after betraying? I thought I read / heard, that, whatever fabled weapon you turn in, will get converted into the enervated version of whatever class you are. So, if that's true, I should do the enervated quest *after* I betray, so my fabled Eagle's Talon, will essentially get, "converted," into the enervated, "Fang of Ichor." Right?

@ 03/20/2010 17:36:52 in this thread ...

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=474037

...that's how I'm interpreting the eq2 rep's comments.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

if you do the quest as a ranger, you can simply buy the enervated fang of ichor from an erudite merchant on the nektulos docks.

So it would be easier to do it as a ranger, and then simply buy the fang of ichor and get a 2nd melee weapon (brutallic dagger from BG's is a good easy to attain option)

i did the same thing betraying my illy to a coercer at 90 (after having done the epic repercussions)

Do the ennervated questline first. Absolutely make sure you do this - otherwise, you'll be stuck having to waste time doing the Assassin epic quest instead of just buying it from the shady erudite.

When SF came out I took my assassin to ranger. Life as the assassin at the end of tso I found dull. I wanted a change so I swapped. Sunday night I brought him back as an assassin. So glad I did. The only enjoyment I got as a ranger was dropping mobs before they made it to melee range.
