would help to know what you have trie and which launcher you are using

Some suggestions

1. try right click Run As Administrator

2. if using the streaming launcher, download the full launcher from here - http://launcher.station.sony.com/

3. install it, right click on the icon, select properties, set run as administrator, close, start the program and logon, configure the language preferences and the target directory for eq2

My configuration is as follows

games

gamessoe

gamessoelauncher

gamessoeeq2

Where games is the root directory, with a sub-directory of soe, under soe are the individual directroies for the launcher and eq2, plus all the other soe games I play.

You can build the directory structure, copy the everquest2 directroy over to it, uninstall the patcher and reinstall it in the new structure then configure it.

I did what was suggested, ie put the eq2 folder into another folder called c:games and reinstalled the launcher from launchpad.station.sony.com and now it works thanks all.
