I want to lead with saying thanks to the Devs. BGs was a massive undertaking and despite all of the QQing you all have done a fairly solid job putting them together. Now I know your plates are full and I don't know what GU56 has in store for us but I just wanted to get a discussion going on different types of BG scenarios.

Now we know everything can't be CTF, hold the relic and hold the territory. I want to know what ideas are out there for new styles of BGs. I lead with a few:

Bombing run: (this one is nothing new) a "bomb" is placed in a neutral location and the object for each team is to pick up the bomb, bring it to a location that has a more favorable set up for the enemy to defend and to "plant the bomb" to score points. Planting the bomb can be interrupted and is on a timer to be placed before it is reset. (this would probably be a 12 man)

Assassination: A "General" is elected among the raid. This player is worth a substantially greater number of points to kill an their location is marked on the map. The map should be relatively sparse in places for the general to hide forcing them into combat or place a single control point that the general must be in to cap. (this would work for any type of group/raid depending on the implementation)

Rotating Bounty: Similar to assassination every 30-60 seconds a random person is selected among the group/raid as the target of the bounty. Once again this target is worth more points to kill than the average player.

Rotating area control: (I hate this one but its pretty standard) Kind of like the bounty scenario but there a a bunch of Cap points while only one or two being active at a time. You can only score points by capping the active banners.

Destroy the Idol: (Stole this one from starcraft sorta) Each team has a huge idol (some kind monument to certain dieties or something. I see a big statue of Cazic-thule) that can take damage. The goal is to destroy the other team's idol before they destroy yours. The Idols must take direct damage and can not be healed (but have a fairly sizeable HP) and they have a HOT tick of their own.

Like I said this isn't a call for new scenarios right now and we might be getting new ideas already in GU56 but I'd like to hear what might be some day. Please post your own thoughts and discuss.
