Can't login or patch since 4/20 update

<p>Came home yesterday, launched EQ2. Patcher tried to run, it would stop on the Everquest2.exe file and say 'Download Cancelled'. I've completely uninstalled EQ2 and station launcher, removed all registry keys pointing to EQ2 and reinstalled using my Sentinals Fate CDs. It installs, tries to patch, gets to a ShaTplt.vpk_delta file, then I get the same Download Cancelled crap. I've got my Firewall service completely disabled. No Antivirus running. Logged in a system admin. I've told the .exe to run as admin just in case. I haven't installed or patched any Microsoft updates in a month or more. I've run a full virus scan just in case, and nothing was found. I've even reinstalled a 2nd time from my SF cds to a C:EQ2 directory to see if that made a difference. I went to the Sony website and downloaded the Station Launcher. When I try to install that, it gives me an error. I get 'Application Corrupt'. Tried downloading it a few times now, same error every time.I'm running Win7 Home Premium x64</p><p>When I go to C:EQ2stationlauncher and try to launch stationlauncher.exe I get 'Unable to load application files from C:EQ2StationLaunchermain. Do you wish to retry?'. I don't get what's going on here.</p>

<p>Update.</p><p>I've reformatted my HD, reinstalled Win7 x64 fresh. Logged in as Administrator. No patches, nada. Downloaded the Station Launcher. I try to install it and get:</p><p>Station Launcher - InstallShield Wizard</p><p>An error (-5009 : 0x80040803) has occured while running the setup.</p><p>Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor.</p><p>Ok, so I then run the install from my SF cds. Installs OK. Fails trying to patch, gives me some BS error about every 5 seconds saying it failed to compress or CRC crap.</p><p>This is a completely fresh install. Nothing else is installed on the system.</p>

3rd try... Another complete reformat and reinstall of Win7 x64. Logged in as Administrator. Installed from SF disks to C:Program FilesSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II. Launched EQ2.exe and it seemed to download a bunch of .png files. Got to a login screen. Did more file scanning. Tried to update files and got the first problem I had, Download Cancelled. If I launch StationLauncher.exe from the above listed directory, I get 'The Program can't start because QtGui4.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program.' Really? I JUST installed it.. Downloaded StationLauncher_setup.exe from Sony website. Double click to run it. Get the message "Application corrupt." Good times.

After it says Download Cancelled, I hit download again and it seems to do OK for a while, then cancels again. If I repeat, it downloads more files, then cancels. Continues like this. Station Launcher eventually came up after ~15 tries. It did a full scan, then started to download. After a few seconds, it errored out and said it will try again in 5 seconds. Seems stuck in this loop. Some messages include: Problem confirming the size of the file Problem confirming the checksum An unknown error has occured

<p>If you have Windows 7, did you set up the permissions? I know that you said that you ran it under admin, but every time? You need to run it as admin on Windows 7 as well.  I have to do this every time.  Usually when it is cancelled like that, it has something to do with UAC or admin priveledges...</p>

UAC is disabled. EQ2.exe is set to run with admin privledges. Any other ideas?
