View Full Version : If you only had 23 AA where would you spend them?

I've just started playing an Inquisitor on Nagafen. I am currently lvl 15 - plan to stay there abouts for a while. I have 23 AA that I really am not sure what to do with. I play with a beserker (same level and AA's). Being on the pvp server, I won't be able to spend more AA until I level. I heard they are doing away with the AA level cap in the next GU, but is that all levels, or just after lvl 30?

My goals are to be viable in pvp and to be able to experience more content on level - so far I seem to run up against mostly orange opponents and do fine until I run out of power. Even or lower con, I do pretty well until they start running away - I have no root, snare, or speed buff for myself - and it seems my opponent always has a speed buff to get away

So, if you only had 23 AA, what would you do with them? So far I have 4 in Skull Crack, 1 in Wonderous Buckling, 2 in Hammer Divine Smite, 5 in Invocation Strike, and 4 in Writhing Strike. And which lines would you continue as you level up?

Any other advice for being more viable in pvp?

The 1st 22 points should be: 1 Yaulp 5-5-5-5 the 4 CA vonversion in the Inquisitor Tree 1 Battle Cleric Endskill This is esp. useful on a PvP Server as they can't be interrupted. After that I leave it up to the PvP guys. Probably Steadfast, the shield mezz or the Stun CA out of the cleric tree.

Battle Cleric is great, but Steadfast is bar none the best AA clerics have for PvP. Unfortunately, if you're locking at 15 and only have 23 available, you can't get it- Steadfast requiring Yaulp+24 points in Strength.

Without that available, I'd go ahead and agree with Yaulp and Battle Cleric. The Battle Cleric end ability gives you a big boost to mitigation and hit rate along with reducing the power cost of the combat arts; you'll need them all in a melee spec, especially at a low level when you don't have access to Inquest.

Well, I'm 20 now... Sorta just happened. I will probably go to 22 and stay for a while. I had issues with the Inq - like no root/snare, very slow casting and being interrupted, and no run speed increase. All of this was fixed by trying out a Warden - however, I really just liked the Inq better. I can get a mount to run faster... And there are items to get snare - and I think I'll eventually get root? Will anything get my casting faster or less interrupting? Doing a group heal in pvp is nearly impossible. Another question - I did the battle cleric thing and got the AA abilities that turn my spells into combat arts. Does it still help to upgrade the spell versions to Expert or Master? I'll have to look at what Steadfast gets me...

In fact I have a spare hot bar set up with the spell versions for times when I'm in a group or raid and can't get in close to use the CA versions. If you stick with using the CA versions, just upgrade the spells if you get extra, but don't stress them.
