So I thought that I would start one.

Now I REALLY want the option to queue for not-Gears. Gears groups are even more skewed than they were before. My win/loss average (I queue solo all of the time) was edging it's way to 50% but I've now got 14 losses in Gears in a row now, so I don't want to go back there. At least there is a fighting (and I mean fighting! It's one hell of a battle!) chance in the other two. But gears, well it may as well say "no healer for your group, you lose" and give you your token and not waste your time.

Yes, I know it's possible to still win without a healer, it's just much much more unlikely, especially when everyone goes "bah no healer, lets give up".

As someone else has said, the first group to get the relic in gears wins if they have a healer.

10k plus resists allow you surivive in a RAID where the mob does 30k damage that crits for up to 90k or more. Now these resists apply in BattleGrounds? Like the normal player is an x4 raid mob? I'm going to play BG long enough to get one more bit of jewellery then I quit it as playing 30 games for 30 tokens simply is a dull boring stupid pointless waste of time.

And I'm an SK with 250 aa, 14/29 T9 masters, 359 toughness, and I don't suck, before you say it. My contribution is 2% towards whether we win or lose (look "lose" not "loose") and the other 98% is the random other people I get assigned with.

I was listening till the part where you said your an sk... you want to be able to do it all dont you? Well no resists are good damage is being raised a bit, but pvp in a group setting is not meant to be a 3 second kill 15 min zerg fest. People are getting time to think and react now. Sk has been op for so long and still is.

What is actually happening is that Gears matches end up being 700 to <100 very often, Ganak is often a boring stand off where a healer has the flag, or a tank supported by a healer, and they are both impossible to kill, and Den is won or lost solely on who holds the center tower, so gnomish boots and sabertooth totems ftw at the start (you ALL carry them now, right?). Random number generator wins again, except that on average it will be skewed by a small number of players. This is independant of the petty rivalry between classes.

Oh and btw as for the healer bit. Ive been in several groups that did not have a healer and we won by large margins. Your TEAM just has to switch tatics and disable the healer then burn the relic holder.. after that pass off the relic between teammates while moving around. Ppl are so use to grab relic remain at base when your moving and passing it they get confused.. but you sound like you want your TEAM to be dependant on you..

"TEAM"? You mean the other people randomly assigned to the same side as me. Does putting TEAM in caps imply that you are able to communicate with all of them, when most of them dont pay any attention to the text or voice chat?

And by "several", how many on average? 80% without a healer, 20% with? 20% without a healer, 80% with? 10% without a healer, 90% with? 1% without a healer, 99% with?

Seriously alot of people focus on random targets, thats why tanks and healers dont go down. It would be easy to assume everyone can follow directions and has common sense.. but if common sense were common everyone would have it. Ppl get into bgs and go blood thirsty. They attack anything not their color.

Untill you que premades its quite known youll be in a pug. Some pugs are good some are not. Find some others from your guild to que with. End of problem

Sorry, im just peved by ppl complaining about problems they can fix. If you dont like pugs que a group as for the resist fix no player could change how the one shots/ group decimation was effecting them so the devs fixed it. Sks are by no means fodder and i dont say that as picking on your class. The rest you just have to suck up untill you get a premade to roll with or a good pug.

Yeah typing is teh sukz, but i mean really the op said wave a wand... perfect group. He was. complaining about pugs and losing wouldnt any balanced group of listening players from his own server be better? I think he wants 1v1 death matches or duels for tokens..... as an sk

I could not agree more. BGs suck now for any team that does not have a healer. To support such, I present:Hmm. Something seems to actually be wrong.Oh wait, I think I get it now. If you think you should have a consistant 50% win rate with PUGs, you are going to hate playing BGs on EQ2.The fact of the matter is sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some. Relying on PUGs guarantees no success.

The problem with this, is that IF you can find a full group on a pve server, you are most likely going to take advantage of the chance to work on heroic quest content, instances, or one group a t8 raidzone. Of course those of you that are from pvp servers are not expected to understand that people can get enjoyment out of these things, but we do. What BGs were to many of us on pve servers, is something to do with a fairly decent reward and AA that could be done without hours of group searching and without commiting to a group for hours at a time. It was exactly what this game needed for people who had a half hour to kill before going to work or making supper for the kids. Unfortunately, the ineffective matchmaker and the new resist fix take all of the fun out of the game for people who want to join a quick pug. There are many things that could be done, such as a "no premade groups" option on the queue screen or any number of other suggestions that have been made here unfortunately no one from SoE has even acknowledged that there is a problem so a fix is unlikely. My answer is simple. Quit playing BGs until SoE realizes they screwed up. If the BG population is high then it must be fun so no fix is necesary. On the other hand, if they start to notice the numbers dropping they will know there is a problem.

Not as much has changed as people are trying to make out. When dealing with PUG vs PUG, it is almost the same now as it was before.6 vs 6 gears may take SLIGHTLY longer, but it is a relatively quick zone regardless.24 vs 24 smugglers is unchanged. You get some longer scraps, but the scores still tick over, one way or another. The only real slowdown is on 12 vs 12 ganak matches, because tanks have too much survivability, and DPS is not overpowered that 3 of them can walk in and level an entire group in seconds.Ganak raids are already starting to adapt, and there is a lot more all-in brawls in the middle (flag carriers included). The only thing that makes Ganak matches slow is when both teams attempt to Defence stack, in which case, the slow match is self inflicted from poor strategy. None the less, something should be done with Ganak to make tanks carrying a flag so disturbingly difficult to bring down (even more so if they have a healer near them). When dealing with premade groups, you rarely get a full premade vs full premade. Normally the premade will enjoy a sound victory (of course, as always there is exceptions). This has not changed. With the incoming changes to spell damage, people just need to learn to adapt their strategy and playstyle. You can not get away with what some of you could do a couple of weeks ago, so adapt, or get left back in history. I am sure SOE will give class types that were hit too hard by spell damage reduction slight boosts over time to come.

You make no sense. BG's are fun for everyone, premade or not.

I mean that SoE seems to work on BGs like if they want that people go into it with premade group, and work like a group is doing in general. tank taunting, healer healing, dps doing damage, etc etc.

Great, and honnestly, this could be a good idea, to increase the players skills, in theory.

But in reality, when 2 decent teams (good setup, BG gear and skilled players) meet in gears or in Ganak, the game just becomes "who's getting the relic first", followed by a 15mn endless fight with 0 kills, or a great orgy in the middle of ganak with 2 omg-we're-not-op-at-all-crusaders keeping opposite flag til end, and score boards like 30-50 at the end of game. And that is not my definition of fun.

BG WERE fun for everyone, premade or not. They're just more and more boring, and even non casters (yeah, crazy, you will never believe that) think this too.
