You all got your wish and destroyed casters in bg's to the point my top end nuke tends to hit equally geared players for 10%.

Shadowknights dispel multiple effects with 1 spell, are godmode since you cant dispel them due to insane resist rates and the amount they can ward/stoneskin with aa they can stand and taken everything you throw at them with no fear. Ganak they get to the flag pop DM and run off immune to everything.

Assassins are the class that kills faster than mages ever did. Take into account the cast time of a spell and the number of 8k hits you will take off an assassin in the same time and they will double 90% of casters dps. Add to that their aa to teleport to you and they effectively do it at range (which is what you were all complaining about). Casters engaged with an assassin will ALWAYS lose no matter what as they cant cast a spell due to interrupts stifles and damage not to mention sorcs are dead before the casting time of a spell has gone off.

We all know that assassins have been the favoured child in EQ2 for years but this is stupid. SONY you have just managed to drive off tons more players. You obviously listen to someone for decisions who knows nothing about the classes limitations and just pander to the whining players who want the game to be as easy as wow but dont want to play there.

Welcome back to reality.

Sony did a huge disservice to all casters by allowing them to get used to the power they had since SF release. As it stands, casters are still a threat, but not a kill all brik wall. Crusaiders are back on top as most OP class (as they have been for years).

There have been a lot of threads from casters and honestly I do not blame them for complaining. They have had the ability to completely obliderate players even when mildly geared and skilled. There was little seperation from the good and the mediocre, but now that gap will be very apparent.

Take it from the PvP servers, casters are now in line, SKs and Pallys, Plate healers are insaine, Assassins still do amazing damage up close, Lots of CC abilities still lock you up.

Back to PvP as normal IMO. It was a very welcome change.

I have not played BG as a caster, but as a healer I have to agree with this.. scouts are WAY OP feeling in BG. I know it's strategy to take out the healers first.. but holy crap... their ports, stifles, stuns, roots, drunk vision... and BAM you're dead before you can think of trying to cure (as if you could cast one) or heal/ward. It's just ridiculous... it also doesn't help that more often than not most fighters and scouts in your group/raid are too busy just trying to kill other people that they don't rescue the healer from this insane damage.

Personally I love the changes (89 Brig).

1. Gears. When the other side gets the relic and inside their tunnel, it's not "game over" if they have a warlock. There's a lot more back-n-forth action. That's how it should be IMO.

2. Ganak. I was curious about this one. Before the changes I was pretty good about hopping the wall, grabbing the flag, and taking off. Was this going to be easy mode? No. Rangers were still snaring me. And folks were still plastering me if they were paying attention. Seems to be about the same percentage of matches that end up in a stalemate with both sides holding the flag. I'm fine with this.

3. Smugglers. I still hate this BG. It suffers from the same scoring problem as before. Once you get a little behind, you're just not going to make up ground and catch up.

-------------------

My kill rate has gone up substantially with the changes. But it's due to the fact that my survivability has increased. My offense is technically still the same as before, but I'm staying alive longer to use it. If I'm 1-on-1 with a caster, it's a flip of the coin who wins. It's no longer "stand right in front of me. nuke nuke. I'm dead.". Instead it's "root/snare. caster backs up. and then he unloads." Sometimes he takes me out; sometimes he doesn't.
