Glad to see the reply's on how to fix!!! It's been since 2004 that some of these post have been here with no reply. I am having the same problem at 99%, it starts in the 80's and gets to 99% and does not finish. But I am dumb, I am putting a post on here with no replies in 6 years!!!

Same issue. Started out bouncing, loading from 95% to 99% then stop, then starting all over 95% to 99%. Now it is simple updating and sitting at 99% This has been a stable install, if I knew where the download cache is I would delete it to see if that helps. I gave full access to the Everquest directory to everyone, but that didn't help. Windows 7 Ultimate, EQ2 streaming client.

there was a similar error a few updates ago , fixing that involved deleting or renaming(to anything) the assetcache folder. Back then it worked , but zones were being downloaded all over again through the stream client.

Same issues as you all have - started yesterday. I have a Tech ticket in. Tech support informed me that it was either my firewall and/or router issue.

btw; I am running Vista windows and have been fine since I downloaded in February.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my "reply" of "problem not resolved".

I hate to say "I'm glad it's not just me" but ....... hello Sony???????????????
If anyone is having trouble finding/deleting that file, try following these steps:

1) Right click on the shortcut you use to open the game and select 'Open File Location'2) Locate the dbghelp.dll file in that folder and delete it3) Then rerun the patcher (right click and select 'run as administrator' if using Windows 7 or Vista)

using Vista and running as admin and still broken

I am running this game on Windows XP and am having the same issues.

I have also tried EVERY suggestion made so far...I am running as administrator...I deleted all said files...I uninstalled, reinstalled, removed programs from my computer, checked firewalls, checked my router...and still it keeps bouncing me around int he launcher loading perpetually in a never ending loop.

Someone really needs to figure out what this is and let us know how to fix it. I would really love to be able to play this game and if I plan on paying for it I want to be sure it's going to WORK. The game was running for me a few days ago, but ever since there was a patch to download I've been stuck in this loop on the launcher and I need answers.

If someone could actually help with this that would be nice.
