It worked fine this morning. Trying to login using the streaming client.

I start it, click "Play", it then flashes between "Starting..." and "Stop" with "Updating (99% complete)" underneath.

I've rebooted, and restarted it multiple times, but it always acts the same.

Any ideas?

Same here. Nuff said. Devs, ho!

ATTN:

Hey guys, I'd much rather see SOE fix this stupid problem, however, I did discover that if you go back to the EQ2 website and re-download the streaming patcher it WILL fix the problem for you.

Okay, I'm probably being as blind as a shriller and a dumb as a kobold, but where is the streaming patcher located?

This issue was also being talked about in the general support forum and here is a link to a thread that does have a workaround.

It seems like most people have already corrected this issue, but here's the basic steps in an easy to follow format:

1) Right click on the shortcut you use to open the game and select 'Open File Location'2) Locate the dbghelp.dll file in that folder and delete it3) Then rerun the patcher (right click and select 'run as administrator' if using Windows 7 or Vista)Please let us know if the issue persists at that point so we can assist you further.
